it sucks, how are we supposed to plan what we want to get? I feel like it's going to be a frenzy and I'll end up ordering more than what I actually want. Damn you and your games, MAC! lol

There is a problem with MAC releasing info because of an ebay scam/problem? Can someone please clarify I am very curious and unfamiliar with this situation.

I don't think it's them having a problem releasing info at all and more the fact that people who've gone to update are sharing collection info before they're supposed to. We're getting all this info months before hand from people who've gone to update or special events and are sharing the info from those places to the general public. MAC will announce the collections and send out PR to the bloggers when it's in their schedule to do so and that's when we're officially supposed to know about these collections. That's just what I've always understood anyway, so please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

But it's because the info is leaked early from the updates and spread like wildfire on IG creating this "gotta have it" hype that has made way for people who have the capital and opportunity to buy in bulk to exploit people's need to get a LE item before it's sold out. If we all knew the 2 weeks before launch, i.e. when the PR comes out, they'd be less time for the Ebay scalpers to plan their highway robberies.

True! I get the need to keep resellers at bay which is why MAC I'm assuming doesn't usually release full collection info super early to the masses. I wish/hope that one day there is a good way to really help with the ever growing issue of makeup scalping. While I'm grateful for all the early info we do get, I see why at the same time it makes it harder in the long run to get things. You spend months preparing a list only for it to be gone in 5 minute because some vulture swooped in and bought everything to sell on ebay for an insane markup.

Yeah if they are trying to curb the evilbay scourge, it doesn't make sense to keep such tight lid on this one particular (holiday) collection because for years I remember this is one of the few collections that are consistently well-stocked both online and in-stores. The items I like typically stay online for days instead of minutes. They are also there fairly long in my store. Also the holiday kits I would see them piled up high at the outlet store I frequented. It's collaboration collections like Bao Bao Wan, Julia Petit, RiRi, Marilyn etc. that goes really fast!

Thanks for posting Naynadine!

I am surprised that there are no glosses or blushes. But there seem to be more of the kits and bags compared to last year, so maybe that's why there are fewer single items.

Thanks Nay! I think I'm just getting the gold skinfinish, the gold shadow and one of the lipsticks, probably Please Me. Just so I can have one of each kind of packaging. Skipping all the sets though. My CCO gets almost no Mac except perm stuff and the holiday sets so if a set looks good I'll wait for that.

Huh, looks like I won't be getting too much from this after all. 2-3 lipsticks, a few eyeshadows, possibly one kit. I thought it was going to be way worse.

Other than the packaging it's not a very interesting holiday collection.
