what did you think of night thrill (the gold/yellowy one)?

I hate the dilemma of loving the packaging but not being interested in the shades.

I looked at swatches of Please Me again and I think it's a little too pink for me; a few years I ago I would've been all over it but now I prefer more neutral shades.

Indeed! I love the blue and teal packaging, but I hate that they're special pigments in it instead of extra dimension eye shadows (I've recently converted to the formula thanks to Lorelei and A Natural Flirt) or even regular eye shadows. I'm not a fan of the pressed pigments at all and have extremely low expectations for these until proven otherwise. I'm still on the fence with the EDSFs because none have appealed to me so far and I don't know how these look swatches, but that cobalt blue packaging is to die for. I plan on picking up Please Me since it was on my wish list for a while, lol.

Evening Rendezvous looks lovely! It looks like Strong Woman's sister but more red and muted.


I don't mind Mac repromoting perm products in special packaging because it helps people rediscover that there are perm items that are just as good as LE ones. At least Mac doesn't go too overboard on the perm repromotes except for Carbon and the Haute and Naughty mascara unlike other brands that add a certain blush and bronzer in everything *coughNarsLagunaandOrgasmcough*

The viva glam set looks so lackluster compared to last year's viva glam palette. I still regret not getting that lip palette.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I swatched the palettes with multiple shades in them.

Pretty! Can't believe it's almost time for the Holiday collection already..where has this year gone?? I haven't been buying much makeup lately... I'm thinking I'll grab Evening Rendezvous, Dark Side, and maybe that gold skin finish.. I haven't even thought about any sets, but those are what I usually ask other people to buy me for Christmas, lol.

Exactly, I wish The Right Note was in the single purple tube and Please Me in the bag/set. If I like The Right Note after swatches I'm buying the whole set just to get it--I'm staying strong and skipping the beautiful purple tubes lol

I would feel really weird buying please me in October... to me it just isn't a fall color. I'd wear it, but not for another 6 months.

Yup, it feels like a spring/summer shade to me!

Yeah I didn't think that either since it looks like a coral? It's probably just the filter but I would be excited if it is that color!

Those filters drive me nuts, lol. It's so hard to guess the realistic shade. Luckily, we got Please Me as a reference on those group pics at least.
