HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
I got Ablaze l/l, Ablaze l/g, Ablaze l/s and Heroine l/g today! They are absolutely gorgeous!! I just paid for my pre-order of Silly l/g, Silly l/s, Embrace Me l/g and Embrace Me l/s! I cannot wait to get them sometime next week as well as Silly l/l tomorrow and Heroine l/l next week!

My package was here when I arrived. No Heroine lipstick, but I did get the liner. Apparently, I am going to get the lippie, it's just delayed. I'm far more put off by their terrible service than I am about a lipstick being oversold. I had a moment of panic that my credit card had been compromised in some way, rushed to check online banking, etc. No, of course not. The first person I spoike too was so cavalier about everything I got royally pissed. All that was missing was hearing her gum snap.
Surprisingly, I like the colour of Heroine l/l a lot and I really didn't expect to. On the other hand, I absolutely LOATHE Ablaze. WAYYYYYY too bright for me and neon pinky on me. It sure doesn't pull coral. The l/g is fine. I personally think the l/s looks best on WOC. Can't get rid of this thing fast enough. Shudders.
Oh, and Ablaze e/s is very different from any of my other orangy/coral shades. It's like a deeper, redder Free to Be.

Well, cross fingers. I called at 10 am and have Heroine l/s, l/g & l/l
and Ablaze l/s & l/g on hold at Macy's. I love their Hold Until The
Next Day policy!
I actually called Nordstrom in case something should
go wrong; you know, to have a Plan B for just Heroine l/s. The girl
didn't know if they held until the next day. She went away and
asked...when she got back she asked 'what may I hold for you?' I asked
if she could hold a Heroine l/s-she scoffed and said we can't do any
holds for new collections. Um, ok….....Just means I have to make sure
Macy's actually works out. The nice lady at Macy's said it would be
fine if I came after work at 7...I don't think I'll be chancing that.
I might try to pop by before work or at lunch. Thank goodness Macy's is near my work!
Still a little on the fence about the l/g...i'll have to see them in person & on. Ablaze looks like an updated version of Succulent (which I have in my stash from the 90's! It hasn't turned bad yet!) but could be too red...Heroine l/g could either be fuschia (which i can't wear) or more barbie candy purple (awww yeahhhh).

omg rrrrrrrrrrrrage. well, maybe not rage...but that all is such a wack attack.I am pissed off Royally!!!!! My sister just went to the Mac counter at my Macy's and they told her they only have 2 Heroine liners!! They told her the employees couldn't get theirs online because it sold out so fast so they bought all but 2.

On the upside, I'm not paying to return my unwanted items. They seriously need to get their act together. You don't send a delivery confirmation listing items and forward a delivery receipt and only later tell people the items aren't in the shipment. Obviously, I can no longer trust delivery confirmations. They don't mean anything.

It's true. I hate it. It's not remotely coral on me...it's....almost Pepto Bismol neon pink. It's ghastly, and I love orange and corals. It's almost bearable as a stain with Throw Me a Line or Chicory liner to orange it up a bit, but why wouldn't I just wear a shade that just looks good? I just got Benefit's Slow Zone free with the purchase of a cream shadow (Shoppers Drug Mart Canada) last month; I don't like the finish as much but at least it's coral.Wha!?!?!?
I'm really disappointed.
Lest you think I don't like oranges or corals, I have Lady Danger, Sail la Vie (a fave), NARS Autumn Leaves, See Sheer, Razzledazzler, Crosswires and Ramblin Rose plus a bunch of CSG and l/g.

Hm. Maybe a cropped shot in daylight, although I've never done that before. I know it isn't Silly. It looks great on my little daughter, but strangely enough it looks like two different colours on the two of us. I love it on her; I wish it looked half that good on me. On her, bright coral. On me, hot mess.
I have strong warm undertones and most pinks look really hideous unless they're dirty pinks/brown pinks. The pinkest shade of lipstick I look good in is Brave. I think the pink in Ablaze is clashing with my skin. If I warm it up with an orangy liner, put on just a touch and then mute it with a gloss it's not as bad, but that just gives me a colour not unlike what I already have. I'm liking Throw Me a Line l/l from last year's Hey Sailor collection with Ablaze l/g; that gets me the colour I was hoping for if not the finish.
I think I'll stick to Sail la Vie. That's bright without the neon quality and has the right undertone.

I received two of my orders today! Including Silly eyeshadow. The remaining shadows arrive tomorrow I think, or maybe the next day. It seems MAC canada was overwhelmed by orders streaming in over the long weekend, which is appraently why I received Silly before the other shadows which I had ordered earlier. Anyway, I've only just swatched Silly on my hand, but I liked it so far. It's a similar tone to the right side of NARS bhoutan, but bluer while bhoutan is more red. Silly is also much more opaque. On my skintone, it is not chalky at all. More on this front later, when I have a chance to play!

I will be getting my Heroine fix bright and early 2moro. Mac is my dealer. I do have some in store decisions to make about a few other items. If anyone is still really having a hard time getting Heroine l/l after store launches PM me and I will help out as best as I can as I do have a few options and locations around me
