i think the heroine l/g is a deeper purple than mirrored plum gloss!! i cant wait to see swatches from u PRO buyers. im still on the fence about Ablaze becuz i got watch me simmer, impassioned n a persimmon color (from another brand) not to mention i have that orange liner-enterain me and maybelline vivid in electric orange!! i think im good wit orange lips lol.

heroine x2
heroine l/g
maaaaybe heroine l/l

i'll need to swatch Ablaze on my lips vs my hands next time

and even though im not impressed w/mac shadows id loooove to see swatches of Ablaze n EM along w/dupes!!
I prefer to do the lips cause that way i totally know if I want it or not. I always go in store and let one of the ladies swatch every single color on my lips vs me just swatching on my hands.

lol well I told myself only 6 items right? that would keep me at $100 so i think I'm going to get the heroine liner , EM lipsticks, silly liner and lipstick and ablaze liner and lipstick on launch day, and then put H, EM and S lipglasses on hold cuz I don't get paid till Friday. holding on to this 100 is torture!! money burns. hole in my pocket lol but I just gotta keep looking at these pics lol

what r u gonna get?
Lol at least you know what you're getting !! I'm trying to keep it down to only 4items for myself because I got to haul for my sister too! I think just the 4 lipsticks for me, I'm going to try to ignore the liner and lip glasses

I'm on the fence about Heroine l/l...I generally don't by lip liners from mac because I find it too expensive (student). Lipsticks are worth it...lip liners? eh. But Heroine is such a unique colour I don't want to not get it and have nothing to wear the l/s with...Does Heroine bleed much? (I don't have the l/s yet)

Also...is Silly similar to Snob/Pink Plaid maybe? I can't tell from the swatches what kind of light pink it's going to be.

Having trouble keeping my money in my wallet for this collection!

MAC Pro members pay a fee for the discount program. Keep in mind the average PRO member purchases considerably more during the course of a year. Generally discounts are offered by companies to professionals in a particular field who purchase products in bulk or more frequently than the average customer (ie wholesale prices for hair dressers or discounts because you work for a certain company)MAC began as a makeup line for Pro's. This launch is no different from any other LE launch, MAC is not big on advertisement So you probably won't see or hear anything coming from corporate in terms of new products.
A lot of different cosmetic companies offer professional discounts (not just MAC) PRO members do pay to have this advantage. I also agree with makeupgrrl that an artist who makes their living doing makeup probably needs to buy in bulk more than just a normal consumer. (Not to mention they need shades that look good on a variety of people, rather than just one person) Also, just because something sells out during the PRO early release doesn't mean it's gone. It's my understanding that they set aside a set number of products for PRO and save the rest for the sitewide launch, (someone please correct me if this is not the case) not to mention all the product that is shipped to MAC stores and department store counters. I know it can be frustrating, but don't give up just because it sold out on PRO. Keep stalking, Colormefab! You'll get your chance!

Can only pros see these product at MAC online? Edit: I just read the latest posts. Poo. If it's out of stock then it's not meant for me to have it. *shrug*

well put, BunnyHeffner!

I'm a regular ol' member and have never had a problem ordering the products I wanted. Even if they sell out in the initial launch, MAC will restock and there are plenty of chances to get the items you want. Especially with this collection as it is being released on Macy's, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Dillard's, etc. Not to mention if you have MAC in your area, you can either pre-order products (depending on their policy) or most times I have been fortunate enough to call the store on the day of the launch and they've set the items aside for me. With that being said, just because PRO members get the advantage of getting early access, it does not mean that the rest of us are shafted!

Here is something I hope someone out there can clear up for mr. I have been checking on the MAC website all throughout the day yesterday and numerous times today. If I type in "Heroine" absolutely nothing shows up at all. It just goes to the screen showing different options to pick whether it be lipsticks, liner, etc. It does not recognize the word right now at all. Maybe it is a matter of where you live possibly? I am in Michigan. I stopped by a freestanding MAC store before heading off to work today. They said they thought it was going to break tomorrow. Hmmmm! If I type in "Embrace Me" the liner pops up (already have that in the cart), but it does not show anything regarding the shadows, lip gloss or lipstick. The same goes for "Silly" and "Ablaze" What do you guys think?

Thanks :)
