the packaging is very nice...

i dunno if i'll buy though, because i know i wouldn't use it because of the packaging. and i can't just spend money on something i'm not going to use.

I'm sure they were probably EXTREMELY limited on the photos they were allowed to use. Marilyn's image is licensed out the wazoo... That's probably why we are seeing these little-known of photos rather than classic Marilyn-style ones. Maybe cheaper to use? I actually think it gives it a little character. But I can see why some may be disappointed given what we normally have in our minds when it come to Marilyn.

It is. I like them. Kinda shows a different side to her. A little more edgy and sassier. It looks more like a MAC photoshoot.

I can't say I am real excited about these...yet! Need to see more...:eyelove: If those are just stickers though, I'm out! Anyone with a computer could make those all day long and stick them on their makeup themselves...

I like the actual photos, just not wild about the black background for some reason... It kinda looks like they slapped a sticker on the eyeshadow! I think I'd like it better if it were more like the Venemous Villains packaging, actually.

I love the photo they chose because I love the performance element. I also think it gives the collection a more universal appeal. Marilyn is not just her iconic looks, so you don't have to copy it; Marilyn is high glamour, sexy, showgirl, actress, etc. and this collection has something for everyone. I think it's great!

I agree!! I do like how each product has a different picture, that is a nice touch especially since I thought it would be one photo on everything.

The packaging is good.. but in my mind was better I would have loved also a simple black packaging with only her signature.. I'm curious to see how are the lipsticks!
And most of all I hope the powder is matte/satin or something not too shimmery so I can use it daily and as an all over in winter ^^

I'm guessing these were part of the photo set that was just rediscovered this past year- would certainly make sense, since it's somewhat current and the images are ones that people wouldn't have seen before.

Question! What's the difference between a beauty powder and a highlighter? Is there even a difference? The beauty powder is also on my list, but I'm not sure what to do with it.

If you are quite light, nc/nw25 or lighter, sometimes you can wear them like blush, depending on the color. Like Heatherette Alpha Girl, I use that one as blush. Otherwise, I use them as highlighters They are soft and give you a nice, soft sheen for the ones that have pearl or frosty.

Thanks. I have a deeper skin tone. I'm guessing maybe nc/nw 45 or higher since I haven't been matched yet, so I hope it shows up on me or doesn't appear ashy on my skin. It sounds pretty. But if it doesn't work for me, that's money saved.

I'm thinking (hoping) that's not the final version. Maybe it's a prototype to test out the design/look of the packaging, and the final version will look less like stickers. They still have a few months before the actual launch.

I'm pretty sure that this is the final version, I can't imagine that they will change it. I think the beauty powder compact looks classy, but I do like the e/s and l/g packaging less. I keep thinking that all special packaging collections will look like this, just a different color with some sticker-like print on it. I guess if we want to have a more unusual packaging, we have to buy the couture collections.

her silhoutte embossed or etched on packaging would have been very simple but elegant. I like the pictures but very unimpressed witht the stickers.
