Don't be too discouraged. I am thinking maybe it was just her application technique that makes this lippie appear to be less than ideal. I think this lippie has a lot of potential.

It doesn't look matte enough! I wasn't expecting retro matte, but not as creamy looking as this.

Although the swatches are patchy, I love that it's a true black. I'm still going to add it to my (mostly unused) collection of blacks.

P.S. I'm wearing Firm Form today! Forgot how much I loved it. PinkPaint inspired me!

Plus she most likely didn't fill in and or line her lips.

Yeah eh. I'm glad she doesn't line before swatching. I do like to see what it looks like straight out of the tube. It definitely looks better in her full face photo.

Looking again, while still creamy, it looks more matte than it did when I first glanced. I may have let comparing it to MUFE #50 throw me off a bit. Now that is one creamy looking lippie!

I'm super excited for this! I was gonna wait until Punk Couture to get this but F that. I wore Firm Form tonight, for the first time since last winter. I forgot how much I love this color. Ladies, you can pull off black lipstick! But I will say, it's the kind of color where you have to plan your whole outfit around it. I just wore a cream turtleneck, black jeans, and black boots. I only really like it with neutrals and leopard print (my fave).

:agree: it's a good addition for me as well. & since I don't have any black lipsticks, I'm okay with this one not being as bold. It's a good way to start my black lipstick family.

That's how I feel as well, I do have Firm Form but I don't have just a plain black so this will be a good start for me as well.

I'm not too impressed with the swatches but I think a lip liner could solve most of the unevenness. I'm glad it's not super dry looking but this seems more like an Amplified than a matte. I wonder if they may try to improve the formula by the time Punk Couture launches, like they did with TTT?

Yep, I suppose she does one layer for that reason. I just wish it wasn't patchy in one swipe. But nothing a lip liner won't fix.

i preodered this lipstick and i had initially planned to use it so that i can wear it with a layer of a red lipstick over to see if I can get that blackened red lipstick look that I always wanted so seeing that it at least works when you layer a gloss over it gives me hope that it might work with what i want.
I plan on wearing it by itself also though
