Ugh, I am having second thoughts. I have some things on hold at my Nordies. My hesitation is with Trio #1. I had talked myself out of it because I already have Cloudburst from Blue Storm and the neutral shadow is nice but not that special. The mint green one is really nice, and IMO quite unique, but it's almost as if I would be paying $32.50 for ONE shadow since I really don't need the others. I really don't have the extra cash laying around, and I am trying to talk myself into passing on it, but then again, I am worried I will miss out and want it later on. It does seem to be the more popular of the two trios.

I know for certain that I want Alpha Girl b/p and Lollipop Loving l/s and probably Sock Hop and Starlet Kiss l/g... what should I do about the trio?

I had a similar problem. I don't have cloudburst but I feel like I have so many blacks...regardless of the different colored sparkles they may have its like....i hardly even use them all! and as for the neutral shade, well I usually just throw a vanilla pigment on for a highlighter. But everyone is talking about this mint green shadow. I bought this trio because I did not want to miss out on it. And everyone is saying that the pink trio isn't too special.

and also...you can always depot and use the case for other shadows for the rest of your life. lol. I just wouldn't pass up on it...you don't want it to be sold out (i think it will fast). You can always return it if worst comes to worse....or sell the 2 shadows and keep the green.

If you use the other two shadows enough to justify it, then yes. Otherwise I'd skip it.

Aghh! someone please tell me whether or not I should wait 2 days to go to my FS MAC to see them in person OR buy them online NOW with 2nd day shipping for $5?? I'm soo excited!

I'm getting Lollipop Loving l/s. Sock hop L/g. I defintely want those Bad lashes baby! I am trying to decide if a want the dual pencils. I think I want both trios too!! My husband said he was going to confiscate my credit cards!

LoL. i wish i could go to my store to see everything in person (because if u have to return anything, then u have to pay for shipping back to mac, and wait...etc). But I don't drive and my store is like 20 or 30 minutes away. So I just need my heatherette. anyway I can get it--i just need it. lol

and I'm sooooooo glad i skipped most of Fafi. i don't think Fafi compares. At ALL.

Oooooh I wish they made little Heatherette Dolls for this collection, don't you guys??

Stupid question no. 28: Can the eye trio case be reused? Do the eye shadows remove as easily as from a standard quad? That would tip me in favor of picking up another trio.

Thats where I'm at right now but with trio2. Is the pink in it a darker pink or peachy pink? I heard the eggplant color in it is really pretty.

the live chat artist I spoke with said the closest permanent shadow thats similar to the pink one in the trio, is pink venus. maybe that helps you?

Doesn't help me...I'm not buying any lustres after hearing you girls talk about them lol. I really wanted JUST the pink shadow....I am stiiiill looking for my perfect pink.

Actually, if I could make my perfect trio, It'd have mood ring, the pink shadow from trio 2 and the eggplant shadow. I wouldn't necessarily use them together

lol.....just 3 colors i'm sure i'd use the most of.

I am not sure but I think I have read somewhere that the eye trio cases can be reused.

Hi! This is my first post, I'm kinda new to MAC and slowly developing a massive addiction. Even my boyfriend knows who Heatherette is now. Eeeek.
I was wondering if anyone with fair/light skin is planning on getting the Smooth Harmony BP to use as a bronzer? I am on the fence about this and was looking for input!

Buuuut, I'm DEFINITELY getting
Melrose Mood l/s
Starlet Kiss l/g
Trio 2

I can't get to my MAC counter until Friday, should I have them reserve these for me, or am I being paranoid?

IMO, the darker pink shadow was the nicest color in the quad. The lighter one looked like Whistle from the Barbie collection with a slightly better texture, and the dark purple one looks very similar to Fertile from Strange Hybrid. For it being a VP, the texture isn't that great though. The darker pink shade is more of a true pink than pink venus. There is no peach in it. It is not as dark as Playful from Barbie or the darker pink in the cool eyes holiday palette. I am passing on that trio cause I have thecool holiday palette from this year, and I don't use pink/purple often. HTH

Well, a MUA at the NY store just said that the pink in trio 2 is a nice med. popsicle pink & that she loves the eggplant color with it. So, I just may have to get it.
