Btw today I'm wearing Magnetic Attraction on lid with the gold part as a highlight and Rich Core in the crease. Ring of Saturn on cheeks with Light Year and Meteoric lips.

I wore the exact same thing yesterday lol, with the exception of Rich Core Will definitely try it with Rich Core next time tho, sounds gorgeous

Seeing it in real life is dangerous isn't it? I was only planning to get Starwonder, Venus (which I ordered online) and go to swatch Magnetic Attraction and Earthshine. I ended up hauling Earthshine, Light Year, All four mineral blushes, and ordering MA online with a GC. Those swirls are just sooo gorgeous in person! So glad you ended up grabbing a Light Year and get to partake in it's sheeny pinky peach gorgeousness!

LOL! Yes! Seeing the collection in person is dangerous for the wallet. I swatched both Supernova and Stratus yesterday and Stratus has caught my attention. I'm now thinking of getting it and I do need to be done hauling from this collection! LOL!

I know! When I went for a quick look to think about a backup for light year yesterday (ended up not getting it because I didn't like the swirls they had) every single powder product was still in stock.  I was kind of surprised since in my opinion, these are the most unique MSFs MAC has ever had. Even had 5 or 6 supernovas. But I think it's because there wasn't a lot of hype for this collection. Usually really popular beauty bloggers like temptalia, xsparkage, makeupandbeautyblog etc. Post all these swatch pictures before the collection launches in anticipation of the launch. This time, temptalia had to order the products and didn't have reviews until after it launched online. And I think it's also because MAC has churned out so many collections this year, and I see lots of videos and blog posts about the insane amount and how people some people are *tired* of it. So there wasn't enough anticipation built between collections as well. AANNNDD. also. it seems like a lot of people are feeling the recession here in the US, and there's a trend in nobuys, project pans or "purging" stashes this year.

Well maybe it's good. I was tired of feeling rushed to buy things. Maybe people are taking their time to buy products and being more thoughtful about purchases. I know I surprised myself by waiting for the in store launch even though I was tempted to buy online or at the Pro store. Also, maybe the fact that they launched so early on line left more product in store. Maybe everyone bought everything online and there was no need to go to the stores.

I am going back to MAC to get Stratus! I have checked my collection and I have nothing like it. This will be the LAST item I buy from this collection! Lol! :shock:

I haven't really felt the need to use my Stratus. It seems like it has been really popular. I may have to force myself to use it. I think I will want to use it more come fall. It seems more like a fall color to me. Right now I've been all aboutRing of Saturn.

Yes! With so many releases, you just have to spread out your disposable income. Hence, people are more selective. It's a good thing, though I still dare to say that hyped items - especially those in special packaging - will still sell out within minutes or hours.

Oh yes, its GREAT! Because of this I got to hand pick the swirls I wanted (except for Starwonder which I ordered) out of a dozen choices of each product. Cannot say how happy that made me.

Oh, I see. You're very right, and just like the few other people who have mentioned similar advice, I value your story and input! I feel like I should post my makeup collection as it's only 2 drawers and less than a train case full of stuff, but I want to share with everyone all of my swirly goodies first, as everyone else have showed theirs I love looking at these swirls! It's like I can't stop, I keep searching Google for a new review everyday or go through Specktra looking for more that I have yet not seen I feel like I'm the only person who didn't pick up any of the MES, CSG's, or lipsticks. I only got LY, ES, and SW, as well as RoS and Supernova.

I love looking at youtube videos! I also do that to see what everyone is doing with their eyeshadows or look-of-the-day type stuff. It's so fun to hear how others love their products!

I was going to skip out on the MES entirely because I don't really use them a whole bunch, but for me I thought Magnetic Attraction was a gorgeous color and I was just drawn to it. So far, it is my fourth MES, so I'm satisfied it's a section of my makeup stash that seems to show some restraint LOL! I got a lot of BUs in this collection but I feel it's very tame compared to when Shop/Cook and Tres Cheek launched. I went hog wild with the BUs then and even Shop/Cook had sooooo many products in its launch! You got some great items from Heavenly Creature, enjoy every single one!

I would frequently check CCO's and Specktra's sales thread (where people might sell their BNIP BU's). Yes, there is still a chance that you find one.

There are no CCOs in Canada; I'll keep an eye out for a BNIP 131. I don't tend to go into the sales thread, but I'll check now and again.

If anyone ever sees one at a CCO and is willing to do a CP, please let me know. I'll very happily send the funds and shipping via Paypal prior to purchase.

I would add the 184. It's a great brush for light application (fool-proof for insanely pigmented blushes).

I took a stroll down Queen West in Toronto today to the Pro store and grabbed one of the last four 184s. I came home and tried it out with Star Wonder - I love it! It's great for the kind of very light application I prefer when dealing with shimmery products. I'm sure I'll use it a lot with my MSFs. Thanks for the recommendation!

I was also thrilled to buy their very last Indian Ink e/s in palette form. I've wanted this for ages but it was a pro only colour that was d/c. I didn't think there was any chance, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Total score!

I hope you're all REALLY impressed that I didn't buy anything other than those two items, including the Cantaloupe blush I was lemming over and the Accentuate and Sculpt shades that were so tempting.

I've been really getting into makeup for the last 1.5 years and have accumulated a ton of makeup. I love shimmery products...but lately I have started to worry that I may be getting too old to use it ...does anyone else have the same worries? I'm 27 and I think...ok..how long do I have left to enjoy my shimmery highlighters and MES before I can't and should start using mattes? Am I over-worrying?

I'm almost 20 years older than you (EEK!), and I just bought my first two MSFs. I have to be much more careful in applying them than you would (as a highlight only and just a touch), but they still look good. I'm past looking good in glitter (I got that out of my system in the 80s - neon makeup and gold dust), but a slight sheen can be flattering on skin much older than yours. I can remember thinking that I was getting oldish at your age - now it seems incredibly young.

You have plenty of time left to enjoy - you'll know when you need to change the way you apply products (it's not anytime soon).

So Pretty! I can never get tired of the swirls! Love your Universal Appeal. You got one with a nice blob of purple to pick from. Loving that purple color. Hmmm. . . now I'm curious about Over Indulgence. Cartoon Chic (I think) said it was just like Strictly Plutonic. Is Over Indulgence a permanent color?

Went to the Pro store and had the SA go through all the Earthshines to find one without much Burgundy for a friend. Well she found one with little gold, a lot of brown and burgundy....sooo I bought it lol. I'll just give her the gothic symbol looking one lol. They didn't have not one of the other MSF's in stock but had 15 Earthshines! Still debating if I want a BU of Meteoric or Magnetic Attraction. Maybe for now I'm done. Maybe.

I went to Macys today & got Light Year - how gorgeous is that on!!!

I can't believe that I didn't get it the first time. I got to pick one with a huge ring of the darker rose & all the rest was the light peachy pink & just a small thin ring of gold in the center. I LOVE LOVE it on. I wore Galaxy Rose today - GORGEOUS color! I also bought the 234 duo fiber eyeshadow brush.

I also bought Cliniques Chubby (

) Stick lip balm pencil in Two Ton Tomato. It is such a beautiful slight coral orangish red red. Just beautiful on the lips.

Dont over analyze hun! lol. Your only as old as you feel!! I love all my MSF. I hate all matte products. Its not my thing
