I'm NW10-15, and on me CotU is orangey-coral whilst Solar Ray is more peachy and sparkly

I am nc15!!! CoU an orangey color on the skin, with a sheen of gold glitter mixed in. Solar Ray is all sparkle, it shows up a peachy/orange sparkle, and is not as pigmented as CoU (not even close). On my cheek Solar Ray actually resembles Light Year way more than it does CoU.
Just a sort of random observation because I did similar swatches with my products, but isn't it funny how when you swatch them all out like this, the MB and MSFs almost look the same as a set?I'm NW10-15, and on me CotU is orangey-coral whilst Solar Ray is more peachy and sparkly

I have star wonder and Lightyear MSFs and solar ray mb. I agree, Lightyear and solar ray looks very similar on the cheeks, solar ray being a little more orange. I think I will return my solar ray. The staying power isn't that great neither. Should I get CofU if I have Lightyear already?

I saw your blog. Do you like CofU on your cheeks better than Ring of Saturn? I'm just curious on what are your favorite MSF and Mb...

Hmm, that is a really tough question. I think it really comes down to what you like best, because I would answer Ring of Saturn, but only because that sheen it has is so unique! I have really never seen anything like it. Ring of Saturn shows up on me as warm red terracotta color, that has this very fine shimmer that shows up as an iridescent sheen. The sheen sort of flashes a pale champagne gold and makes RoS look quite pinky in some angles.
While CoU is this orange blush, but probably one of the most flattering orange blushes with a shimmery finish that a pale girl can wear, since the gold really adds dimension to the color, and gives it movement, which is hard to do with orange.

Oh and for your other question, CoU and LY are different enough to own both in my opinion, especially because you are fair, so the color differences show up really well. What is similar about them is that they both have that layer of golden shimmer and are warmer colors, but other than that they won't be that similar on your cheek

Ahh decisions decisions. We have very similar skin tones, that's why It was easier to ask you about this. I know for sure I wanna return Solar ray, I think if I was tan, it would look very nice on me, otherwise with my pale complexion, it just looks too orange. I want to order Ringof Saturn because of the terra cotta aspect of it. That's what drew me towards it in the first place. If CofU is more peachy or more coral than solar ray, I would get it. Solar ray is just too orange in my opinion and looks very similar to Lightyear on my skin. idk if I should order both and try it and if I dont like it, return it but it's such a hassle...and I might fall in love with both!
If you thought solar ray was too orange, then you will probably think CoU is too orange. So I would get RoS if I were you!

Well I just ordered CofU and RofS haha but I don't like them I will just return to my local store. Can't wait to try them! Sad to return the solar ray back but it's just not flattering on me

I wouldn't just return unless there's a defect. When returned MAC destroys the items. I would sell on here or somewhere else, or you could try swapping.

Try it out and if you don't like it, you can try selling or swapping it here. MAC destroys all returned items, so hopefully you'll be able to find a loving home for it!

Hi, I am NC 15 ish. I do not have Solar Ray, but I do have CotU. CotU is way more orange and I think it is shimmery, but not as glittery as SR. Perhaps anybody else in our skin tone had both?

Well I gave it to a friend of a friend and it looks nicer on her since she is tanner. If CofU is more orange, I might not like it but I'm excited to get RofS!

Ring of Saturn is more flattering on me than CotU. I think I will reach more for RofS.
