MAC Hey, Sailor! (Summer 2012) Discussion

I would join Team 6 if I could afford it, but that's not going to happen I think. So I guess I'll try to get maybe two or three and then one or both of the Hey Sailor ones. But I really have no idea which ones. Unfortunately I like all blushes, but I'd like to know which ones compliment my NW10-15 skintone best as well. I don't care too much for the packaging.

The packaging is cute but not very interesting products...I think I'll get Blessedly Rich Lipglass (maybe) and Fleet Fast Blush.

I am glad somebody's feeling Hey Sailor, cuz I am on Team Meh for this one. More for you guys. And, I guess it slightly mollifies the guilt I am having for the amount I am putting down on these April collections.

I do wish that MAC would pay more attention to repromotes. Naval Blue piggie in Chenman in March, Naval Blue piggie in Hey, Sailor! in Mai. On top of that, it's perm at Pro. I'm happy to see repromotes, but not in such a short time span.*



* Same goes for Lightscapade, Watch Me Simmer, etc...

Oh here it is I have been wondering about the summer collection. Packaging is tres 80's! I probably will only get a few pieces it looks a bit boring to me so far. We shall see.

- nautical e/s

L/s and l/g will have to wait until I see promo pics.

With the ****-- I really have to see swatches, but this is a high probability for me… I only ever buy bronzers during the summer collections and I'm really starting to get bored with what I have. Why not just buy one now? Eh. I hate looking for one amongst thousands. I like when MAC just promos them to me xD

The rest of it sounds beautiful, but I'm really trying to go for things that will really start to beef up my spectrum of makeup :X I don't want too much of the same right now.

Hm, I'm also feeling a bit MEH about this collection. I'm sure it's because I'm holed up in an office. Come May I'll be dying to buy everything. I wish it came out a bit earlier so I can take some stuff on my trip to Cancun mid-May!

Nothing else appeals to me at all.

That is a GOOD thing. LOL

I know what you mean. I think that I'm feeling really excited about Hey, Sailor! because I've only recently started to build up my collection. But I can see how the descriptions lean towards shades that are fairly common.

I thought somebody mentioned that there would be a lot of Nauty Nautical repromotes, but that's not really the case... I hope we will see some in another collection.
