Oh ladies, I'm so sad and disappointed! I visited a counter today (not my regular one since my MA is on leave at the moment), and had planned to buy Mayhem e/s along with SDN blush after much deliberation, and also to B2M for 2 lippies that manage to catch my eye.
When I got there, I noticed that SDN was not on the display set, which meant that it had probably sold out.
Two lippies, Surprise Me and Total Wow! had caught my eye previously, so I decided to try them on. After the raves I had high hopes for Surprise Me, but I was so fucking disappointed cause it didn't show up on my lips at all.
Total Wow! was really pretty though, and after much consideration I finally (happily) decided to get it, so I told the MA to get it for me..... who then later came back to tell me that they were already out of the color.
Boo! They should've pasted the "sold out" sticker on it and not give me false hope, I was honestly really excited to B2M for it after I had made up my mind.
I did look around at their lippie selection there, and so many lippies were missing, it was so disappointing. I did try on CB 96, which I thought was nice but not unique enough to own. So I brought all 12 empties back with me at the end of the day. Boo!
I also had bad service from the MA, who kept sitting at the counter and refused to help me out unless I personally approached her. When I told her I wanted to try on Mayhem e/s, she just left it on the counter together with the sanitized lippies. I had to personally tell her again that I wished to try it on, after which she looked at me impatiently and asked if I needed a brush. Like DUH, how else am I supposed to put it on? With my fingers?????
I miss my MA so much, I always get the best service from her. If I asked to try on any product, she will help to apply it on my face (feels like I'm getting a free mini makeover sometimes).
Sorry I'm ranting, but this was probably one of the WORST experiences I've ever experienced at a MAC counter. So disappointing, especially since I had expected to go home with a few new goodies, but I only brought Mayhem home with me. So much for my much needed retail therapy. Grrr.
On a positive note, I think Mayhem is really pretty though, many thanks to Princess Livia's awesome swatch, which had prompted me to check it out in person.
