I love that there are other women who appreciate Trek. People think it's a guy thing, but it doesn't have to. I know more about Trek then most guys who watch it lol.
I agree. I grew up watching Star Trek. That's why the original series tends to be more nostalgic for me. I love the Tribble episode of Deep Space Nine because I thought it was great how they went back in time. Anyway, I don't think this discussion is completely off topic. They used a ton of makeup on Star Trek to create the aliens.

I really hope they restock! I want to get A Natural Flirt. I swatched it in Denver yesterday, it really is beautiful. And I've been using ready to party over everything lately so I wanted a bu. They have two counters and a full store there. They were all sold out of the shadows :( I saw the sets, I just wasn't moved to get any of them. So to ease my pain I bought the Sephora Cinderella shadow palette. I didn't need another shadow palette, but It's gotten great reviews and when I swatched it I fell in love. And I'm pretty sure they are sold out everywhere, I snagged the last one there. :happydance:

DE reminds me a bit of Cyber. But DE has a better texture.

Is the DE pulling brown IRL? Seems to have a brown tinge in the photo - I haven't seen this IRL yet, as the lippiesdon't get released in Australia until 19 Nov.

I have dark dark brown lashes but i don't generally wear black mascara - well, except i have several that were free - from sephora points - that i wear from time to time. Most of the time i wear dark brown or brown-black mascara. I think it looks less hard and less harsh.

Can't speak to the Dior versus YSL mascara, since i've never used any YSL mascara. I do have DiorShow in Mitzah. I love the color and DiorShow is a terrific formula - no clumping (and i even tried to make it clump and couldn't), little to no smudging, no flaking... i'm sad Mitzah was a LE color and all gone now.

As far as colored mascara on dark lashes: back in June when the Beth Ditto collection came out i bought the Zoom Fast Lash in both Plum Reserve and New Hue. I didn't wear them until two days ago after y'all were talking about colored mascara. I put Plum Reserve on my upper lashes. It isn't bright plum, but the color definitely showed on my dark lashes, and looked flattering - I really LOVED it. New Hue, which is a darker color, i put on my lower lashes. I'm wearing mascara more often lately and i'm definitely going to be using these, especially since mascara doesn't keep they way powders do. But, yes, the MAC formula was not as smooth and gracious as the DiorShow.

What's more necessary, the purple smoky set or the neutral set?

Mac-guy? Anyone?

Swatches?

I'd say it depends on three things: What colors you wear, what colors you have in your stash, and what colors you like.

I got Aloha, the neutral pigment set from the Vera collection. One set is warmer and one is cooler, but i forget which is which, Aloha or the GP set. It's good to have neutrals, but i don't wear them daily - i like to play with colors - so having one set is enough for me. But for someone who wears neutrals most of the time, the GP neutral set could well be worth it.

Me, i'm on Team Purple, and no matter how much purple i have in my stash, there's always room for more. If you're not a nut for purple, and you've got enough purple variety in your stash to play with, then you might not need the purple set.

This is terrific that you're doing this! Such dedication! I am not that disciplined.
