I got an invite today. I'm definitely going. The event for me is Oct 16. I reserved for 7pm so I don't risk anything I want selling out. This will be my 3rd event and I'm starting to get the hang of how things work. I already have my wishlist, but now I need to finalize my shopping list. I want all of the EDES, but I can't afford them all. Not so soon after Marilyn anyway.

Same here. I too will have to finalize my list for this collection after going crazy with Marilyn Monroe.

I'm thinking twice about getting the skinfinishes, I tried it at the store when it first came out and I hated it but then again, the lady at the Mac store freaking put on a pound of it on my skin and made me look oiler then I am but ugh it's soo pretty

I lost my little 4'11'' mom/best friend to lupus this summer and makeup was our thing (she was a cosmetologist and I started staging Polaroid photo shoots-with me on makeup duty- at age 3). Makeup has been one of the few things that has kept me sane. No one in my real life circle gets it, including the man, but on here I feel normal.

I got an email about the preview event in my area. It's at the Mac store in Pentagon City (Virginia) on the 16th from 7-9pm. You have to rsvp (703-415-2212) by the 15th. I can't go but maybe someone in the area wants to! I have only gone once and it was fun. They did a good job of getting everyones items bagged up for them!

Hey yall!

So idk if this information has been put in this thread but let me tell you all before i forget :)

So today i got the chance to look through this book that my Nordstrom has out for people to be able to pre-order items from the Glamour Daze and Holiday Portions and they had a lot of breakdown of the collection as well as prices.

First, Nordstrom will have it's own set of exclusive makeup and it looks like the case with the bows on the side/top. They are 70.00 but they have like 2 brushes, a blush (or maybe a cream blush, it was something bigger than a shadow), i want to say a lipstick and something else in it? there are 3-4 of them. and they vary in colors of course. I will try to take a photo of it again tomorrow, my phone died so i didn't get a chance to snap a pic.

As someone else said, they are releasing these things into 2 parts, The Glamour Daze will release the end of Oct. then also along with the Part 1 and then part 2 in mid November.

ALSO: so there is this one part that i believe that this is just a Online exclusive, but it's like a vanity bag....it has a hanger and then like different pockets to keep makeup in...and it rolls up...but the inside it's like lace and the outside it's leopard (regular leopard not green or whatever). it's 48 dollars but it's really neat! I will also try to take a photo of that too tomorrow.

OH!: and you know how they have those Leopard Bag sets, there is a Viva Glam bag set with the Nicki Minaj lipstick and the conditioner and the bag....for 39.50 or 49.50 tho :\

and i have a photo that i did take, but let me try to get it off my phone first and ill post it.

I was waiting for this!!! But I hoped the bag was with lipstick and lipglass!

That's the store I'm going to. I'm going to be there at 7pm. It would be fun to meet up with other Spektra members!

For those of you who want to go an event, you all should just call your local stores and see if they're having anything. If they are, let them know that you want to attend and get added to their list. I also learned that not every store participates in every event. My store had an event for Hey, Sailor!, Styleseeker and now Glamour Daze, but didn't have one for Marilyn Monroe.
