Omg!! I would call macys and complain. Maybe theyll offer you free return?? But i think with macys you can go into the actual store and return it. (Or exchange it for one that wasnt used!) just have the invoice with you

I grabbed Double Defined Skinfinish and Blazing Haute Blush today at my local Dillard's even though I swore I was on a no buy after IMATS NY! Ah well...the damage could have been far worse lol

So i went to Macy's today and was happy to know that they received STF. I decided to purchase it along with DoubDef. Honestly, the shadows didn't really do it for me this time around. Perhaps because the colors are not to my liking. Anyhow, although i didn't go all crazy with this collection i am really happy with the 3 items i did pick up. I might just do some swatches for the warmer/deeper tone beauties. STF is a definite must have IMHO.

Wow CaliMel that is horrible! I am so sorry that happened to you. Do you have a Macy's store close to you? If so, send it back to the store and if you haven't already call them..i'm hoping they will give you free return/exchange. Keeping my fingers crossed you can resolve this!

By the way, last year's Extra Dimension was shipped to me (from a MAC store) without enough padding and one arrived with a huge crack across it. The breakage was so large it dislodged the entire 1/2 from the pan. I got it straightened out, but my point is that these are really fragile. They need to be packed well, like all baked makeup products

Dang! I'm so sorry! That is super annoying! Let us know how Macy's handles it. The least they can do is send you a return shipping slip, so you don't have to pay out of pocket to send back used makeup. When I got my Fashion set order from MAC, all of the ends of my lip glasses and eyeshadows were open. The product itself looked fine though. It was a bit odd. Hope you can get it worked out.

I'm going to contact them online and see what they say.
I might try returning in store, but it's easier for me online. I mean, I can take photos of everything if they want! I don't care. It just sucks because I really wanted to use these and now I feel like I can't until I get it taken care of.

If I have to go into the store, I will, it's just that since these are limited, I don't know if I'll be able to exchange them or not.

Nordie's has them all in stock again, but back ordered, so I think I'm going to just order them on there and then return the ones from Macy's to the store after I email them first to see what they say.
I also have to make sure my parents don't throw away the packaging since I opened the package at their house on my lunch break.

Thank you all for your replies/suggestions! I wasn't sure if I was over reacting or not, but apparently not! So that's relieving.

Well, you definitely shouldn't be bored with your makeup! You'll have lots to work with :)

I'm so disappointed to hear about the BB brushes. :(

return them to the actual store.
call them and make them pay for shipping.

Return it in store or exchange it for one that hasn't been touched! I've done plenty of returns in store of things I bought online. If a sales associate tells you they can't return MAC if that store doesn't have a MAC counter, they're lying and don't want to take the return. They do this often and their faces when I tell them I've worked at Macy's and I know they're just being bitchy are priceless. (I don't actually say the bitchy part, just that I know the policy and that I can always ask a manager. Haha.)

I passed on it too! I hope I don't regret it in the future, but money's tight right now and I don't see myself reaching for that often.
