i picked up the eyeshadow brush this time around, and the face brush the first time it came out. i have used the eyeshadow brush yet, but i find the face brush is better than the other face brush (bronzer brush, i think the 167?) i tried at picking up and depositing colour without eating the product excessively. it works well with both the blush and the edsf. hope that helps!
I had the same issue and I read on here some where there is a waxy coating on them that keeps it from being able to give good color payoff so I wiped off the top later with a tissue and I swear it is perfect now and works with any brush
