I got the cleanser from last year, which I love, but never tried the serum or moisturizer. I have the Fix + and other than the scent (nice) it is really the same as regular fix. Do we know if there is enough Vitamin C in there to really do some work??? If so, I would give it a try. (I still don't get making skin care LE though, why MAC, why?)

I don't mind that as they are improving it every year and come up with an even better formula.

Did you try the one from last year? (and did you think there was enough Vit C to actually brighten?) I guess I could always juice it up by adding some vitamin C but that doesn't fit my high maintenance use it straight from the tube philosophy really...

I only purchases the serum. I'll definitely repurchase it this year.

I don't think the vitamin C is the brightening ingredients. It fights free radicals (you probably know I'm big on that one).

I would be happy to try a new serum. It cannot have any retinol in it or I'm doomed though, so I have to wait and check the ingredients.

FYI, retinol often causes reactions, but you can usually get your skin "used" to it by starting off using it in smaller amounts, every second day.

I have tried that but then I get the sunburn effect, not good. I have not tried diluting it down with a nonretinol serum, but that could work. My eyelids hate retinols. The rest of my skin tolerates to an extent but the lid is where I need the "retexturizing" the most...

I wouldn't use regular retinol-based creams on the eyelids. Have you tried specific ones for these areas?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the new Lightful products. Gimme some Vitamin C :)

You're not lying! This one was supposedly okay for the lids. that sucker took a week to resolve, it was like a serious burn. I will try the Lightful serum I think, the MAC serums really have a lot of bang for the buck when you look at the numbers/active ingredients jam packed up in thar

I have the Lightful Softening Lotion. I just don't like the formula. Way to watery. It's way too hard pouring "water" into my hand and then trying to rub it into my face- big mess. I wish they would thicken the formula up a bit. But, the essence serum- I love. I think that it has really helped to lighten my hyperpigmentation.

Is this collection online only? I also saw the collection on MAC's website earlier today, but didn't notice this thread until now.
