hmmm, moisture cream vs serum, the former has 10 ml more product for the same price, however, I am wondering if the serum is more concentrated (more bang for the buck?)...My skin is neither oily nor dry, so either way I am looking for the most antioxidants and Vit C for the price, what do you guys think?

Remember, the lightful line is meant to be used as a system, not as individual products or just a few. Otherwise you want to stick with the other skincare items.

They're both completely different products! Serums are packed full of all sorts of good skin stuff, depending on what kind of serum you're using. And moisturizers moisturize obviously, but vary depending on your skin type. The serum is the first thing that goes on your skin. Always. Then you follow with the rest of your skincare, in this case, the remainder of the lightful line.

Are these products (heavy) scented? What do they smell like?

Is anyone using the line? If so, what are your thoughts?

TIA

i finished a tube of the cleanser. and i liked it alot. a little amount is enough for a good cleanse with the clarisonic. it lathers well, its creamy. it kind of leaves your face squeaky clean. its $25 but its going to last you a longgg time. i had no problem with it . i was on MTX while using it. no nausea or skin reaction from it. im going to be buying it again.

I'm trying to gather some funds so that I can purchase all of the items at once and use them together.

I am glad to hear that you liked the cleanser so much and that you had
no problems using it while being on MTX.

And that it does work with the Clarisonic YAY

I just went ahead and ordered the entire line.Cannot wait to try it!
I still had a gift card and did not have to pay for the products!!!

I hope that they will be here by tomorrow.

My skin acts crazy at the moment due to antibiotics...it is itching, burning and peeling

I still have to take them until Saturday so it might me better to wait and start with a new skincare line when my skin is feeling better again.
Right now I have no idea what to put on.Even my usual skincare sucks

So sorry you're having to go through medication-related skin issues. Sometimes, if your skin is red, itching, burning and forming welts or peeling while taking medications, you may be having an allergic reaction. PLEASE discuss with your doctor right away, as those reactions can have serious internal consequences too, that aren't always so easy to detect right away. Please stay safe!!!!

On a happier note, I always recommend Clarins Santal Face Treatment Oil for the most gentle, soothing face product ever for red, sensitive, irritated skin, rosacea, dryness, etc. I've been using it at night for for nearly 25 years, either on its own (did that for many many years) or under night cream (now that I'm older, although if I feel like I need to be extra gentle on my skin, I will skip the night cream before I would ever skip my sandalwood oil). All you need is a few drops plus it smells so beautifully relaxing - the smell alone is a wonderful aromatherapy to drift off to sleep with.

Darphin also makes a line of natural herbal treatment oils, but unless they have evolved their products lately, they're lovely but not as amazing as the Clarins (and more expensive too). They're worth looking at, though, because they have many more varieties very finely tailored to many different kinds of skin. http://www.neimanmarcus.com/category.jsp?itemId=cat7020738&parentId=cat000358&masterId=cat000339

I'd say while you are taking meds and having health issues, keep your skin regimen super simple, pure and soothing. Good luck to you both!

Prednisone is really killing the skin

I have the same problems with burning and even more sensibility every time I have to take it too.

I do so much hope that you won' t have to take it too long

That was my initial thought too because I don' t take antibiotics on a regular basis like many other medications.
And I have had many allergic reactions especially to antibiotics in the past. But the doc told me that this a reaction can
be caused by this particular medication and will stop after I finish taking it
th_dunno.gif

I started putting on Bepathen solution which is just liquid dexpanthenol and it didn' t burn when applying and this morning my skin
is not looking that red anymore. So I will go on with this I think.
I usually use it for damaged oral muccosa (and in case of stomatitis) but thought that it might work for my face too.

Thank you so much for the suggestions, liba

I will look into the products because I have never heard of them before.
