I can't wait!! I refuse to let this get me down. I refuse.

***I love you, elegant. Hang in there, we will get our goodies***

***I still love you, Audrey. Even if you are an Ungaro traitor.***

I know right, I am even more excited! I've had to wait just as long for most collections, so I'm not stressing. But waiting does give you time to think about what you can pass on. If it's amazing, then it doesn't matter how long you have to wait, you'll still want it. But if it's just "comme-ci comme-ca" then a little time gives us rationality...which I don't like!

Actually, I felt that way with Suite Array. I only bought one pencil - Molasses - that's it! I was wondering if all of us will get to the point where there aren't any more different colors to even buy

Is that possible

I only bought one pencil too- Black Russian! I think that is a record for me, I usually can't go into the MAC store without buying at least 2-3 of an item or I don't feel excited.

I love mattes too, which is why I am wondering should I get 2 of the Pure Rose?

I have hit the pan on paradisco, expensive pink and lovebud, so I am wondering if I should invest in a couple of these? Or is it not as coraly as I am hoping?

I am not liking the waiting. I keep going back and forth with what I want to get. I wish I could just buy it already to stop this mental torture lol.

But....I really, really wanted that paint pot!!
crybaby.gif
WTF MAC!!! How dare you tempt me with a beige metallic paint pot!

I think that I am going to stick with getting the lipsticks and that is it. I am kind of in the same boat as Audrey. This is about the time of the year when I am coming down off of the summer collection high. I bought NOTHING from Suite Array which was strange. Hopefully I will get back in the spirit when the holiday stuff comes around.

I don't remember there being a paint pot, but the MAC's in my area are notorious for getting things in late. I hate that I'm disappointing everyone! It could have been there but I really don't remember seeing anything.

I am excited about the MAC collections the whole year, but for some reason I become happy like a little child with the fall/winter/holiday collections

I love the summer collection usually because of the special packaging, but if I think what we will get with Manish Arora, Red She Said and Dame Edna
drools.gif

I *definitely* buy more in the fall / early winter. It's a little different for me since I'm not as much buying for myself (although my personal tastes definitely do influence what I buy to use as an artist) but I always feel like the fall collections are the most interesting / special. The rest of the year stuff kind of strikes me as pretty normal / so-so. They're nice, but if you're working from a perspective of having a really well-stocked arsenal of makeup I don't see what the fuss is about. I guess the spring/summer (and to some extent winter) collections strike me more as "pursables," i.e. cute packaging and things that would carry well for day-to-day use, whereas the stuff in the colder month are more tools that I'm interested in using.

It is the pink lipgloss, and I'm starting to think about the pink blush, too, just because I love the packaging. *is a sucker for great packaging, even for repromoted permanent items.

I went to Nordstrom's yesterday to buy Sharksin, since I missed it the first time around, and they had everything BUT Sharkskin. I have two on hold..gotta have a backup..and it's torture waiting.

I also took some some pictures to show the difference between Blooming and the BP. Blooming is on the left and the BP is on the right.

It sure does look pretty, and I love Blooming. Not sure if I will cave or not, but honestly, I REALLY don't need another blush!

I bought nothing from Suite Array either, or Cremesheen for that matter. I am still loving my Cult of Cherry stuff, so I don't feel like I need anything new right now.

Me too! I think I bought 7 of the colors which is unheard of for me. The collection really works perfectly with CoC, and I think that's part of why I love it so much

It was like that for me when I first starting buying, but as my collection grows, I find things that are similar enough to satisfy me.

The CCB, are you using it on your cheeks?

You do realize that I may now swatch the BP when it hits the store near my work, right?!

I haven't tried it on yet, but I will be trying the CCB on the cheeks and lips. There was some confusion among the MA's as to whether the CCB could be used on the lips, but the product info sheet in the box only states that it shouldn't be used on the eyes.
th_dunno.gif
It is a rather bold colour though, so 'll have to get back to you on it. Probably won't be trying it on tomorrow either while I slave away in the depths of my mom's basement helping her purge her clutter! I don't feel it is an occasion worthy of Ungaro mu!!

When we had update we asked if they were going to be selling the nail polish and our trainers didn't even know. I think it was a last minute decision. It's a gorgeous color though.

Yes, get it. Get it.

Seriously, I think you would look so lovely slaving away through the basement with some crushed bougainvillea on your face.

Crushed bougainvillea is a nice name. Over here, overhead bridges for pedestrain are all painted with bougainvillea on both sides of each bridge. They come in all colours like white, off white, orange, and the nicest one is captured in this CCB. I think I want this, and the BP. This collection is launched on 25th Sept at one of the MAC counters but I didn't go there. I'll wait for it to come to my regular counter. No idea why I'm not excited.

what colors did you get? If you dont want them, sell them. Ahem

I wanted the coral shadow but if its too light, I dunno....I only have one matte which is carbon. Im scared to work with mattes, since my application is already not so great.

^Me too! The only eyeshadows I usually are VPs and Frosts.
I really suck at using Satins too. Oh lord, I get so much fallout and somehow it doesn't blend?
th_dunno.gif
Does anyone have some tips?

TIA!

Fallout is always a problem for me (I tend to charge my brushes pretty heavily ), but it's easily solved. Putting some loose powder under the eyes before applying the shadows, you can just brush it away with a foundation brush after you're done applying.

Well for fallout, something that works really well for me is curling my eyelashes BEFORE I apply any shadow. It somehow catches some of that powder by creating a net. I learned this from someone's post who had gone to see one of MAC's professional makeup artists demo and that's what the artist did. It works.

At my counter, it was just mixed in with the nail polishes. I wonder if MAC reads specktra b/c we were all interested in having a matching nail polish and then we got one! hehe. But at the same time, it's not quite the color in the ad, so I have to also wonder if they did a really quick add-on with it.

I'm not getting this collection. Again. I may be persuaded by the yummy coral eyeshadow again though. But for now, I'm not buying it. Again.
