Hmm, I hear you. Pastels are a little harder to pull off on darker skintones because they aren't often pigmented enough, and if these are supposed to be "transparent", I'll have a hard time making that work. I did like Danse though, but those pastels packed a little punch IMO.

I have seen the colour story!

First let me tell you that the visual isn't very awesome. It's a closeup of a very plain model's face on the left side, with a knee and up photo of a dress presumably designed by Ungaro. It has to be the most unflattering angle of that dress because the model's boob is half hanging out. It's a shot of her left side and the dress stops at about 3/4s of her boob. It's just... stupid and a little offensive looking. =/ I don't think people will appreciate it much.

I didn't take any notes on the colors, but they are all neutral and neutral-pastel. There is a lilac eyeshadow color. The Paint Pot sounds pretty, a shimmery nude beige but that seems like the stand out product. There are three very blah sounding Cream Colour Bases (a product I'm not a big fan of anyway). Freckletone lipstick is being repromoted with this collection, and even though it is part of the permanent line, it had a symbol next to it indicating that it is a new shade. This leads me to believe that this collection has some kind of special packaging, since all repromotes in special packaging are considered "new" shades in the colour stories.

There is the interesting inclusion of Mink Brow Set which is described as just "Brown". That's one item I would like to see because I feel like Show-Off is a little dark on me sometimes.

This collection will be available in Bloomingdales, Saks, Nordstroms, and MAC stores among others. It will not be available through Macy's.

I don't really care for the boob, but I think that the Lilac e/s and the paint pot sound awesome! Thanks for the information....

You had me at lilac!

And that shimmery nude beige paint pot is just icing on the cake for me!

I do think these pastels are a bit odd for fall, though. Not what I typically think of wearing when the weather turns chilly. But I don't mind icy pastels for winter. Kinda winter wonderland-esque.

I am not that impressed - I don't like pastels and neutrals very much. More money for the holiday collection and the mineralized produchts in fall!

I thought the pastel colors e/s is a nice change from MAC. I would love to try these new colors. Since MAC is always known for strong bold colors.

I like how MAC eyeshadows are [usually] buildable. Like Electric Eel can be used in a sheer way, or built up to be super vibrant. I just don't see getting that much versatility with these sheer, transparent pastel and neutral shades. =(

I agree Susanne. I'm definitely not mad that this line wont be available near me. The only thing that sounds interesting is the beige paint pot, but I just bought a benefit cream e/s that sounds pretty similar, so I may not even worry about getting a single product!

And yeah Twinkle, it is hard to pull off on darker skintones! They usually just end up looking too chalky or white :/

Im really not sure about this collection. I normally use bright vibrant colours, but thinking maybe its time I used a few lighter colours? I dont know, I'll wait for swatches, like the sound of the paint pot though

I actually like that Crushed Rose lipglass. I think that I could be able to pass on a good part of this if it truly is a ton of neutrals. I am loving the sound of a lilac shadow though, I love my light purples.

I am really interested in seeing the color descriptions for this collection. It sounds really pretty. I love doing bold looks but pastels and soft colors would be great for the office. I also loved the N collection so if this is similar then sign me up!

I think there's a big difference between a neutral collection and a pastel collection...like, I'm really upset that I missed out on the N collection, but I definitely wouldn't be into a pastel one.

There were some bold, dramatic (and all around HOT!) looks from the N collection facecharts that were worth re-creating in my opinion...but I think pastels are kind of funky on me in that they're like, pale-d out muted colors and I have a hard time using the pastels I already have.

I don't know if I'm making sense but I just wanted to share my two cents...if this collection has both neutrals and pastels, you know which items I'll be picking up!

I'm not really feeling the pastel thing. Everytime I ever use lilac or pale pink eyeshadow I dislike it and end up covering it with a bolder or darker eyeshadow. I'll definitely check it out just like I do practically every other collection. But I'm definitely more into richer and bolder colors.

So... I guess I didn't read all the descriptions very well. The visual is SOO plain and natural looking. These colors actually sound... lovely... I am hoping to be able to touch the lipstick, the lipglass, eyeshadows, paint pot, and beauty powder. I probably won't be able to since it is a limited release (we usually only get to touch things that are available at ALL counters/stores). Wow, sorry for my jumping to conclusions! I guess it's not exactly completely neutral city?

I think I am going to like this collection! Thank you so much BunnyBunnyBunny! I am kind of bummed about the finishes of the eye shadows but the lip colors, CCBs, and the beauty powder sound gorgeous!
