MAC - MAC Me Over Discussion

Heiaken, Thanks for the photo...it really shows just how different they are. I took my brushes back to Nordies today, 2 definetly were returns and I wanted to exchange one of them (possibly)....IF they had anymore...she said they are all out but have shipment boxes...and she did not imply she was going to look for one...I should have just picked up another while I was in Macy's the other day and just return the three...Arrgg. BTW I didn't think it would hurt to ask so I asked for my shipping fee to be refunded and they did.

my order of runaway red, oh oh oh, smoked purple, plum fun and rebel came in today!

i think i am going to LOOOOOOVE runaway red. it's not bright, out there and in your face, which is what i like. it does it's job as a red lipstick even though it came out with a dark and dramatic quad, i can see myself wearing it with a gold dominated eye look.

oh oh oh is pretty, i can spice up a neutral work look with it.

plum fun and rebel are good nice-to-haves

smoked purple...i will probably only wear this once, it's really dark. i'll have to play around with it.

now i'm waiting for prince noir, offshoot, social light, mythical and carbonized.

If possible, please post some photos of prince noir. It is the only lippie from this collection that I have really been debating over.

(I want it, but I have all of these questions. Is it too dark for my NW20 skin? Can I pull it off? Is is only for going out - which I rarely do b/c of my small kids?)

was thinking about wearing dark diversion to an indian wedding reception tomorrow night...my sari is in the magenta/purple family....was thinking i'd try to wear it with sparkle neely sparkle or maybe carbonized for a bit of a smoky eye... any suggestions? i have only just swatched dark diversion so far.
this morning i wore mythical on my eyelid, carbonized in the crease, and creamy bisque as highlight/blending...although i love all the shades, somehow i found the end result cooler than i had hoped, and i'm kind of worried thats going to happen again!

I really love this blush, it looks allmost like a bronzer on me so I'm mainly going to use it as a kind of contouring blush (and that's the way to apply blush I like the most). I think it will work well paired with my all time favourite MAC blush Trace Gold

equilibrium looks great on you!

Just did my third and FINAL order at Macys... Tundra s/s and Avenue f/l (mostly due to Elegants review :) ) and threw in a lip scrub to get free shipping. I'm DONE, so much for my tiny list lol

I passed by super quickly by the counter at Dillard's and was quite stunned to see that Dark Diversion, Midnight Blues and Avenue were still in stock! Maybe it's just me being a fluidline nut that expected them to fly off the shelves. :p
I'm glad everyone is receiving (and loving!) their goodies. :D

sure i shall take some pics of it today for you :) i am only nc20 and am looking forward to wearing it out next week. for me it is a shade that should be worn in winter and fall. i don't usually stick to 'rules' but it is very dark so therefore in the summer on my pale face it would look a bit odd. i don't think it's only for nights out either. i plan on wearing it during the day on wednesday this week when i go out shopping :) and i think you could pull it off if you have the confidence to do so :)

It was probably the Mythical that made it look cool. Mythical is rather pink on me. . . and probably combined with the creamy bisque. I was under the impression that creamy bisque was a cool shade but I don't know since I don't have it. I can't really picture Sparkle Neely Sparkle with the Dark Diversion but maybe it would work. I do think that Dark Diversion is fairly neutral so it should work. But what about a dark purple/eggplanty eyeshadow color? Do you have one of those?

I have Equilibrium just sitting in my cart on the website but I don't know if I should buy it... I feel like I wouldn't get much use out of it other than using it as a bronzer.

Went back and picked up Avenue f/l (enabled by Elegant of course) and Peachstock (hope I can wear this). I am officially done. Relatively small hauls from this collection (for me).
