MAC - MAC Me Over Discussion

Meh. So far this is another collection I'm passing on. So far that's everything up until Cindy Sherman (and really that is not a big deal since I can get the items I wanted whenever), but now that's a pass too.

maybe the holiday collections will make me interested in MAC again.

my list at the moment consists of:

Moleskin e/s
Outre e/s
Prince Nior l/s
Carbonized e/s (not sure yet...I've got to see swatches)
Creamy Bisque e/s (same goes for this one...)
226 brush

and that's all...for now

Smoked Purple is the only matte that is too dry for me to wear. Such a shame really, it's a great colour, but so hard and dry. I gave it another shot last winter, but had to take it off immediately. So from the lipsticks, I will be getting Offshoot and Runaway Red.

Both of the blushes are now on my list. Not sure about the eyeshadows yet. I like all the colours, but they seem something I already have. Well, Satin Taupe I do have, but the rest. I guess it depends how crazy I go when this hits the counter. Can't wait!

but I have to go to the Mac counter to see the eyeshadows and Lady Grey quad in person

I want to play and test them out before making my final decision =)

I knew Moleskin looked familiar, even though it is similar to UD Naked, I will get it... Can't have too many browns.

Forget Temptalia, Outre is gorgeous to me. I will get it

I like oh oh oh, and I am going to try runaway red. I am still looking for the perfect red, not purple, but red.

Mythical is pretty, and I like that it is a muted version of coppering, those types of colors are easier for me to work with muted.

The lady grey quad, looks nice too. It reminds me of a muted champale, and quite cute quad.

Curvaceous looks pretty.

I'm not sure what to do with the CCB... so I'll skip if I need to save money.

Same for the blushes, they seem pretty, but I have to see them on me first.

I have Dark Dervision and forget to wear it. Not sure about dark envy. Does green look good on brown eyes? IF so I'll get it. Midnight blue is gorgeous, but I have a dark blue from Bobbi Brown.
Avenue looks like poo... MUFE did a black with gold sparkles this summer and did it much much better.

I actually think outre and moleskin will be gorgeous together.
Goodtimes, illicit, and social light I have to see on me. So far Illicit is on the list.
Wee Coquette, nah.
DId I already say I love oh oh oh? LOL
PEachstock is pretty, but I can wait, same with Rebel, but I think I'm to scary to wear such a bright color.
Secret lover is way too light. Pretty on Christine, but not for me.
Smoked purple will make my teeth look a yellow mess and make me look dead. LOL
Stunner blush looks nice, but I have to see it on me.
Prince Noir, again, I have to see it on me.

Praying that I can keep this haul small. I might even try to get three brushes. 1 for me, my mom, and my aunt.

I've been playing around on Christine's swatch gallery and I'm wondering now whether to go for Runaway Red or NARS Madere... they look awfully close, RR is just a bit cooler.

I'm also surprised that I'm kind of eying Secret Lover. It reminds me of a less pink version of Bubblegum from SCF.

I already have Ochre Style, so I don't really think I need Outre, but I agree that it's a lovely colour. Despite the fact that it's a little odd, I think a lot of people can wear this sort of shade. It really makes blue eyes pop and it makes dark eyes look lovely and warm.

Well, my list has been cut down considerably. I only want 2 items now. Oh, oh, oh! is a must, and I've always meant to purchase Spite so I'll do so when this launches.

Argh, from these swatches, Runway Red looks too cool for me - I'll have to wait until I see it in store to decide!!! I may try Prince Noir, but that will also have to wait until I see it in person. My only "for sure" item with this collection right now is the 226 brush, which I don't yet own. I will not be heartbroken if neither of the lipsticks work on me - more money saved for our new place and the other collections!

this is exactly what I need..I need my dark dark dark brown, almost black eyes to look a lot warmer!

So, after seeing Christine's swatches my little list has dwindled down to just one item: the 226 brush.

The fluidlines look nice but...my Make Up For Ever aqua cream stash + my MAC eyeliner brush pretty much cancels those from my list. Ah well, more money for the Cindy Sherman collection.
