MAC Magnetic Nude Collection (December 26, 2013)

My final haul of the year: Fairly Precious, Magnetic Appeal, Silver Dawn, Sweet Heat, Autoerotique, Morning Rose,It's Physical, and 2 Huggables. The hoarder in me wanted to get the PC lippies too but I know I'd rarely use them... I'm trying to change my ways for low-buy 2014!

This is Magnetic Appeal and Fairly Precious on me NC30-35 skin.
They're both exactly what i expected... im hoping with a light hand and the right brush i could use MA as a highlighter.... doubt it though. But im sure it will work as a blush for me... maybe even as a bronzer?!?! idk. ill have to play with it some.

FP and Adored look very similar. glad i skipped FP! they look nice on your skin too!

WTH, Nordies counter told me to have coffee, walk around and come back as they are going to set up now . Still no testers yet . Bloomingdales during my walk is not aware that it launches today . Checked and 'Oh, I am glad that you said something'. No one is ready and prepared in the stores yet. I Just wanted to test before I grab my haul that's already waiting

Same here. I would've been in and out in 5 mins but they had nothing set up! Doesn't surprise me tho with that staff.

:yaay: What did the color look like on you? Oh, & what about the 2 brown fluidlines? Are they as sheer as they looked on T?

FP looked like ATG on me. I honestly think it was the lighting tho. I really do. I think it'll look great on everyone else really i do. The blush was a beautiful rosy coral pink. Elegant, you're gonna :thud: !!!

Oh man, i just saw that erine hated FP, im nervous now!

Went in store and only got two items for me. Just Fairly Precious and Morning Rose. Loving Morning Rose the most. I originally wanted to buy Magnetic Appeal but did not like it at all on me. I did good today, Team Low Buy will be proud of me lol. I even resisted backing up Instigator from the Punk Couture collection. Today was liberating lol!

I have Adored too and I thought it would be close to FP. When applied with a light hand, I bet the difference is even less pronounced. Thanks for posting this.

Was up and back from the store before it even launched online!

So glad I got to swatch in person! It's my last big haul of the year. I ended up with Superb and Fairly Precious EDSF, AutoErotique and At dusk EDB, Morning Rose l/s, Steel Kiss l/g and the 128 brush. The low buy group is going to be ashamed of me!! But I justified it by telling myself that low buy doesn't start til 2014.

I got home an hour ago from Macy's. It was empty which was great because I had time to play with all of the products from this collection and Punk Couture. I can honestly say I am so glad that I did not order FP edsf. IMO it was too ashy for my liking. Hopefully my second order from Nords has gone through and I'll be getting MA in the mail soon. I did not pick anything up since I had already ordered AA and PM blush which is AMAZING! I did get my hands on Instigator which is a surprise because I had no intention of getting anything from this collection but glad I did! So now I'm here with my bare face, laptop, coffee and vino lip liner with an instigator on my lips haha!

Are there any less expensive brushes out there that work great with EDSB and EDSF?
I haven't tried them with the EDSB or EDSF but have you tried any Real Technique brushes?

Yes the RT brushes are great for them! I bought the Core collection brushes and use the second to largest one (sorry forgot the name of it) with the edsf and the blush and it blends them in really nicely.
