MAC Magnetic Nude Collection (December 26, 2013)

I was trying so hard to force myself to skip this collection, but the minute I hit the counter today, All restraint went out the window. I did a good job though and only got Morning rose, carnal instinct, and pleasure model. I still am thinking about getting FP, but i may just have to throw cc and the 128 in the mix too. Hrmmm

I still don't understand why they haven't made any of the Extra Dimension stuff permanent, it's always the crappy stuff that is permanent. Permanent large EDES please!!!

This type of shade is my fav, the pinkish champagne-y ones lol I can never have enough!

How would you wear it? It does look pretty, I am not sure if I should get it.

I use it on the lid all over, as a highlight, on the inner corner and as a face highlight too!

I actually think you'll like this, the formula seemed more similar to my Definitely Defined!

I've heard from various people I know that once worked at mac that its amazing for applying both powder and creams. Its a split fibre so its supposed to be very versatile.

I'm having little panic attacks seeing the sensual sparks sold out of both the MAC's and Nordstrom's website. I would of had SS yesterday but one counter told me that they don't allow people to use B2M for L/E even if its not special packaging and the other one said to come back in about a week after they did a tally of what was sold. Does that sound about right to anyone??

Unless they've come out with stern rules, some let you, some don't. It's like each store has their own set of rules.

I have heard that too at counters. They make it up as they go sometimes I think. Call around or go get it now because it took me 5 calls to stores in STL/KC to find one in stock and the one Nordies in STL that I ordered from only had 2 left.

I usually use it for a neutral eye, I use a light warm brown in the crease and then a darker brown on the corners for a wing effect. I've been using my Naked 3 with A Natural Flirt a lot

Close Contact, Myth, Honeylove and Viva Gaga 2



Playing Koi and Close Contact in the tubes (they're NOTHING alike so I didn't bother with swatches)



ETA: It looks closest to Viva Gaga 2 to me... Myth looks more peach than Close Contact... even though Close Contact is described as a peach...

Koi was way to milky on me. It was Tyrone Biggums fo shooooo. I hope I like Close Contact and Sensual Sparks. I am scared SS will be exactly like Gaga 2.

Koi is kinda milky on me, but I still love that color.. I don't know why..

I am surprised that CC is so brownish, since it is described as a peach.. I think Myth looks more peach than CC.. I should know better than to take Mac's descriptions seriously..

At the counter, Sensual Sparks looked like a darker brown version of CC.. I didn't buy it so I can't compare it..

I do like CC but I think it looks very similar to other lipsticks that I have..

These swatches are so helpful! TY! They confirm I'm skipping CC.

Sensual Sparks is the perfect combo of nude and peachy on me. I rarely BU nude lippies bc I feel like for the most part they're similar to each other on the lips plus most of my nudes are perm lippies but this one I need several backups of. It's my official HG nude/every da color. Let's just hope my nearby stores aren't sold out of it by now.

come on not really all the permanent stuff is crappy
most of the time permanent items have much better quality than LE ones
