Thank you Erine for passing that info on to me. I believe half of the time the MUAs realize that they did misinform me but they are too proud to admit it. I am so grateful that my sister purchased the SS lipstick for me instead of letting it slip away.

Your best bet is to just keep trying until you find a counter that will let you. Call ahead of time and ask, and if they say yes, get the name of the person who you talked to. That way when you get in there and you're told otherwise, you can tell them exactly who told you that you could. They can override the rules (as long as it's $15 and a lipstick) without any issues, so if you're being told yes, they need to do it.

In my opinion Carnal Instinct is similar to the lipstick Caliente. CI is a more brown.

I swatched some other Mac colors with Silver Dawn and didn't find any dupes. The closest is a discontinued color called Smoke and Diamonds. I did some research and I think I'm going to purchase Makeup Geek single eyeshadow in Moondust as a 'dupe' for Silver Dawn.

It is absolutely beautiful on, and so easy to wear! It's one of those quiet lipsticks that sneaks up on you, but then WOW! You fall totally in love! It's well worth the money in my opinion. In fact, I have had so many compliments, I am seriously considering back ups!

Gorgeous! I skipped these because I haven't used the ones I picked up from a previous collection (can't even remember which collection it was! Wow!) but this looks similar to one of those. I really need to go back through my stash and actually use some of this stuff. THIS is how I know 2013 has been a hi-buy year lol
