Estée Lauder Shimmery Sands Powder Gelee is it comparable to Superb? Is it WOC friendly / recommended . I have EL Topaz Chameleon Powder Gelee so was wondering if SS would be suitable for me as well. I was also considering EL Modern Mercury . Which is preferred and more WOC friendly ? TIA

I am NW45 and have WoG, Superb, MA, Shimmering Sands, Topaz Chameleon, and Heat Wave. I haven't used WoG yet because I think I prefer Heat Wave as it's less metallic. Topaz Chameleon is great, I'm wearing it today and glowing!

I hate keyboard gangstering. Can't stand it. People are such cowards saying mean and hurtful things behind a keyboard. It's one of the reasons I rarely post my pics anywhere, I just don't have TIME for all of that hate.

If I don't like something, I just don't say anything, or if I feel I must, I try to phrase it in a way that's not mean. I'm a very sensitive and emotional person and I am always trying to make sure that other people don't feel what I feel when I get my feelings hurt because it's NOT fun.

That being said, you're never going to please anyone and I think it's takes a thick skin to do youtube videos and blogs (which is why I've never done it because my skin is so thin it's practically translucent!). You have to please YOU. No one else.

There are always going to be keyboard gangsters coming out of the woodwork feeling that they just HAVE to comment and say whatever they feel like, mean or not, because you can't track them or they're not all up in your face physically. If you love blogging and doing videos then keep doing them, because there are probably a bunch of people out there who DO love and appreciate what you do.

All you girls are beautiful! Back on subject. Last night I was super sick so my hubby surprised me with Its physical, our secret, and at dusk! The three things I wanted. And I'll just say it's physical is too pretty for words, I'm soo happy for all you ladies posting pics of it otherwise I wouldn't have ever bothered!

I actually picked up EL Shimmering Sands in a CCO about 2 months ago. So check your local CCO..You may get lucky!!

I think the nearest cco is in San Diego (3 hrs away). I don't know when I'll be taking that drive again So do you love it? Does it feel different (texture) compared to your mac ED skinfinish?

Like GlitterMUA has said, I also saw Shimmering Sands in a CCO when I visited the US late last year. If you can find it, I would get it, it's a unique colour. I'm also hoping they release another one this year.

I'm very much an amateur with makeup, but find that the EL highlighters are "softer" and easier to apply.

You could check to see if your PX/NEX/BX has it. I've seen it around in other installations. I haven't compared CCO and PX prices of these powders but I'm sure they are comparatively discounted.

E-thugs are the worst. They will NEVER say 99% of those negative comments to your face, which is why they don't bother me. I don't normally post pics of myself because I'm very private that way, but please don't let the e-thugs knock you down from doing you. I do admit, though, sometimes it's nice to give them a dress down if they get too loose with the comments.

Speaking of this, I got the Too Faced Chocolate Bar and Pink Chocolate from Too Faced yesterday at the PX and it was so cheap! The lippy was $16 and the palette was $39.50

Awesome! Most PX we were at only had Lancôme and Clinique usually but our current Exchange has everything.

I only know of one kind of NEX (Navy Exchange on military bases) is that what you meant? I'm prior US Navy that's why I'm asking
