MAC Magnetic Nude Collection (December 26, 2013)

PM is nothing at all like Fresh Honey. It's like a cross between Amber Glow and Alpine Bronze, with the EDB texture.  Hmmm….it's not like LBB, which feels chunky on me and is so transparent. It goes on smooth for me, without tugging and with plenty of opacity. I'm having a tough time comparing it to other fls I have, it almost feels like a cross between a fl like S&S from Divine Night and a paint pot like Genuine Treasure (but without the grit-sized sparkle). You really see the duochrome effect. It's just beautiful - and unique! It's soft and subtle too, like the rest of the collection. It's for smudging under the eyes, sweeping a touch across the lids, and so on. I think it'll look great on you and won't be irritating. That was me! Steel Kiss is very grey. It gives an effect sort of like using a very pale, transparent black gloss - which is to say, it slightly deepens the color and adds depth but cuts brightness. It's also got the pearl in it, so that adds lustre and volume. If black lipgloss is too weird for you, Steel Kiss will do a softer version of that for any lipstick worn underneath. Morning Rose, since you know how people hog it up with MAC lipsticks. For you, MR miiiiight run a bit too grey to be your perfect color. I'd wait for Out For Passion Huggable.

Same here... AND I'M STILL BUYING *facepalm* My list is still up in the air... I'm just gonna go to the store on launch day and work it out on the spot. At least my PC list is iron clad so half the battle is already won lol.

I finally got to see the stufffff!!!! So my last reviews on these is Autoerotique: pretty but did not sold me on it. Basically It looked like when my rosacea acts up. (Imagine that) and yea it's closer to a real blush color on me but too close to a skin condition so I panicked and erased from my list. I'll take pics as soon as I get home cause the phone isdying. Superb: amazing. The rose gold I always wanted. I wanna be covered in this stuff. Preordered. (Macys flushing, queens. For NYC spectrans) Fairly precious: it's a cutesy pink with enough sheen to convince me i could be cute again even though I'm a sassy new redhead. It swatched beautiful on my nc30 skin thank you @erine1881 for the recommendation. Pleasure model: way similar to Rihanna's blush. But actually prettier. I passed on it cause i already have stuff I can frankenblush this. But it is very pretty. I didn't care for the rest of the stuff. Magnetic appeal looked too much like the shimmery bronze I already found in double definition.... Again, I'll pick up my stuff on release day happy days and no more Mac for me for a while!!!!

Like I believe Liba said, it's similar to shell pearl (I have it from the snake collection) but SP swatches too white on some people. The shimmer is very fine... I personally loved it even though I'm sure there's dupes somewhere in my stash. I used it on top of the autoerotique and it made me like it... That was another thing. I played around these on top of the blushes and they really bring them out.. Oh and I confess: I preordered close contact too. I know. I'm ashamed and totally slapping myself. But I fell for it the first time I saw it a few weeks ago, and it's still lovely to me. Now I'm really done.

I love Shell Pearl. I've used it so much that the snake is long gone.

Wonderful. I forgot who said it but I i know someone did. I love shell pearl, it is one of those shades I get compliments wearing. FP does sound perfect.

I'm actually also glad that you compared Magnetic Appeal to the darker part of Double Definition. I was wondering exactly that. If they are that close, then it's an easy skip!

Okay, Erine, I never ask for your advice regarding what I should get…BUT do you think I should go for either of the new blushes? I was thinking Autoerotique…but now I'm wondering if I should even get that one? I'm contemplating skipping the blushes. I'm pretty light & neutral (I guess) -- I don't know what shade of foundation I am in MAC anymore. NC/NW15 are a bit too light for me now. I'm feeling (for once) that maybe these blushes aren't MUST HAVES…I'm trying to not buy too much.   Thanks in advance. 

I think you either of the lighter blushes would look amazing on you! Are they absolute musts? No. I don't even remember the last time i wore At Dusk (but then again i have tons of blushes). I prefer the regular blush formula over the ED formula any day of the week. The colours are pretty, but they aren't one of a kind. Aside from the finish, you can easily dupe the colour.

I had this amazing idea popped in my mind, what if I wasn't able to get my hands on Pleasure Model? I would use my Lustre Drops in Barbados Girl on my cheeks first and apply BGGG blush on top of it

I Think you can build up to a very subtle shimmery blush if your skin is light enough. And with a light hand use as highlighter. It's weird because when I used it on too of autoerotique it gave it an oomph that I almost got AE...

Okay so I did some homework and I decided on Magnetic appeal and fairly precious for the skin finishes. I made the horrible mistake of looking st the gloss......so I want lol, steel kiss, oh my darling and hell bound. I'm a nw47 so from what I've read superb may be too light for me. Not really sure

Again I'm not an expert or anything (I wish) but I think* IMO a lot of these can be similar to the naked eye to other stuff some of us already got... My recom: Go to the release with your possible dupes In hand and compare.....

I Think you can build up to a very subtle shimmery blush if your skin is light enough. And with a light hand use as highlighter. It's weird because when I used it on too of autoerotique it gave it an oomph that I almost got AE...

"Build up to"... the three words that equate to an automatic skip in my book lol. Too lazy to go find the "ain't nobody got time for that" gif to put here. I personally prefer having more pigmented products and nuancing their intensity via application with different tools (fan brush or duo-fibre vs denser brush etc). One application and out the door! Mornings just suck.

By the way, "I almost got AE" --> me gusta!!

Exactly .... Ain't nobody got time for that.... Lol . I'll prob use it as a highlighter... Idk I preordered it but I might just come home with superb and be a good little girl. Mornings just suck---->thank you! Lol ...
