It's happened to me. I had a "friend" who always criticized me for how much I spend on makeup and always made it a point to mention, in front of everyone, that she didn't and would never need to spend that much money on makeup. Low and behold, I lost a few of my eye shadows... and then a month or so later I was helping her pack for a trip and I found them in her suitcase.... and it was awkward... they were clearly mine because one of them my dog had bitten like a day after I got it... and she was like "oh yeah remember when I borrowed these? I forgot to give them back".

It was lame. I was a different person then and I was just quietly pissed about it... I hate the idea of locking it up because when I get ready in the morning I haphazardly throw everything everywhere on my counter... but oh well... I lock my car too so I guess it's just goes along those lines.

I'm sorry =(

Aww that sucks I'd go psycho! My cousin accidently took my foundation once ... but she gave it back once she realized it wasn't her's so that's not really stealing.

The only incident I've had was when my ex-best friend stole some of my pigment samples. She used to come over all the time when I wasn't home and borrow my clothes. My poor mom didn't realize I didn't want her there when I wasn't there. She came to my house one day to borrow clothes again when I wasn't home and when I got home I had pigment samples missing. I confronted her and she said she "might" have taken them by accident. Anyway I never got it back and my boyfriend put a lock on my door but I don't see her anymore haha.

I would beat someone up if they stole anything from me and I thought they were my friend, especially my MAC. Then I would be sure to let everyone they've ever met in their life that they are a theiving p.o.s. :shedevil:!

I'm sorry for all of you that it's happened to. People can be so terrible, it's really hard when you find out people you trusted are scumbags.

Someone once stole my makeup when I went to a college. I spread a very false rumor around that I had pink eye and oral sores that were highly contageous and that I hoped whoever took it would be very careful.

Suddenly, I found my stuff back

I lent an acquaintance an eyeshadow that I loved for a special event she was going to, and I get it back, and it has a HUGE dip in it. Not exactly stealing, but similar enough. I was sooooo pissed.

did you say "DAMN GIRL how Much did you USE!?! you aren't supposed to use THAT much!"

Ive had that happen too . .some people.. except with Pigment. I let a friend borrow a pigment of mine, it was a full size pigment jar too.. and it came back half empty ... she said she spilled it and was sorry. but i know she was lying, as I saw her a month later and she was wearing it... liarrrr

Mmmhmmm... I went to NZ for a holiday and I left my makeup in the bathroom (stupid me), and when I came back I found my full pigment jar of teal gone! Since when is it okay to steal something from your house and suddenly feel like you can't even put something somewhere in your own house without being ripped off?

Karma may have gotten whoever stole it coz that teal jar just happened to be from a non eye safe batch and c'mon which "everyday/ common" person is going to use teal as a lip color or blush...

Also somebody stole a f/z juicy tubes from my house as well...

I would confront the girl on it or talk to your sister, if she's reasonable. That's terrible someone stole your makeup.

I learned my lessons well about theft in 1st grade. I would take barrettes out of my hair and place them in my bookbag. A girl would steal them from me. When I would go complain to the teacher and pretty much freakout, the girl would "find" them again. I don't care if she was like 6 or 7, what a bitch. She was supposed to be my friend, too.

My roommate in college stole some MAC lipstick and eyeshadows from me right before she moved out. UGH!!!!!!! I just figure, what goes around, comes around.
Oh, and this was the same psycho girl who I caught drinking out of my fast-food cups that I would store in the fridge for later to chill them. GROSS. Almost made me sick right when I saw her drinking MY drink from the fridge-- sipping on the SAME straw as I had just an hour before. BLAHHHHH!!

During my freshman year of college, I found out that my roommate was not only stealing my make up, but she was lending it out the the whole floor! I was livid. I taped all of my stuff shut and moved out ASAP.

Its sad to read
I would be VERY mad.

I've had some partys at my place, but each time I locked everything in my bedroom and no body had the permission to enter it. Luckily, it worked.

Not makeup related, but at work, we have a guy who eats everybody else's food. It pisses me off because I pack a nice healthy meal and expect it to be around when I want to eat it. I found out that he is muslim and won't eat pork so I started labelling everything of mine "pork stirfry" I haven't had anything go missing since

When I was like 17 I went to a club and I didn't bring a purse or bag with me so I had to put my mac lipstick in my friend's friend's bag. Anyway, I forgot to ask for it back that night and when I asked for it back the next day, she told my friend that she had "lost it". Whatever, I knew she liked it so she kept it. I learned my lesson then, so now I kinda treat make up like cash - don't lend it, don't leave it lying around or let untrustworthy people watch it for you!
