I read about someone getting recruited by MAC recently on another thread and they were told that the brand is trying to go more towards "classic" rather than the drama they're known for. I guess they weren't exaggerating... But seriously, when you're looking to do a "villian" makeup look for a costume, who thinks "hey, maybe I'll make a versatile neutral smokey eye!"? With a collection that had the potential to be so different and fun and ethereal, this seems so half-assed. :/

After seeing the pics of this collection, I swear I heard the sound they play on The Price Is Right when someone loses a game. Anyone know the one I'm talking about? Yeah, major disappointment here. I was afraid something like this would happen. *sigh* Oh well...money saved for other collections.

I had anticipated spending a pretty penny on this collection, so I guess I'll just tell them how I feel about this collection with my wallet!!

I completely agree at how sad this collection is. It's just a huge disappointment. Buuuuttt I will say that there are several collections with special packing coming out in the near future that I am super excited about. Proenza Schouler (the blushes alone make the collection for me), Alluring Aquatic and the Osbourne collections have me all jazzed!

Speaking of pretty special packaging I showed my husband the packaging for Alluring Aqua, and then I showed him the packaging for this one. He replies "What lame packaging, Really Mac you could do cool packaging for every other collection but this one"
I've blabbed his ear off about this collection sense the announcement. I just thought it was funny.

I'm okay with this collection being a flop. I need a few flops to keep my makeup buying habits in check. April is going to be a bad month for my wallet with all the collections coming out, so I'm all for having a bit of a reprieve until Alluring Aquatic comes out (which I'm hoping I'll love).

LOL. I am disappointed and relieved that this collection is a pass. Goodness knows I'll spend enough with Osbournes and Playland.

Admittedly, I just want the lippy but this collection just seems like a half assed creative fart. I wanted dark lippies, dark shadows that were new and new lipglasses.
