The packaging is not actually a set of wings, but a pair of ravens. Like the one that she always has with her.

It took me awhile to see it. It's really not as obvious as it should be.

I am very disappointed with MAC and Disney on this collection. What a yawnfest! The movie looks like it will be great. I hope that a lot of MAC fans will show MAC/Disney what they think about their lackluster collection by not buying it. That is the only way to get something through their heads, is a loss of cash in their pockets. I don't know about you, but I'm not dropping a dime on four permanent eye shadows in a compact with wings/ravens on them for around $44.00. Then again, I wouldn't even need to, I already have all of them for the cost of $28.00. There is not one thing from this collection that I find vaguely interesting. Now the Alluring Acquatic packaging, that's a whole different story!

Big disappointment! And ugh! Carbon again? Really Mac? I found this pic that seems to sum up what a lot of us are thinking every time Carbon comes up.

I was sitting trying to think what Disney has put out that I was really impressed with in terms of makeup or packaging their villains/princesses in a way that was really impressive.

To be honest...I can't really think of any. I might be missing something, but I don't think Disney is really strong with that and if MAC didn't bring the big guns I can see how something like this packaging happened. There was the whole Merida controversy, so I believe Disney is firmly in 'princess' mode.

When it comes to their own manufacturing they tend to go strictly with character faces and sometimes it can look very pretty: or kinda meh.

Most of the really gorgeous Disney stuff I've seen has been when they allowed someone else to have the ability to draw the characters and take a more bold approach.

So yeah, MAC dropped the ball on this one.

None of these pictures are my own and only used for demonstrative purposes.

I think the collections that Disney put out with Sephora were really pretty, especially the compact mirrors. My favorite one was Cinderella. :eyelove:

I never saw those... I just saw the nail polishes and palettes. I just fell head over heels in love with the Cinderella compact mirror (love the others too, but I have a thing for stuff with roman numerals) after looking it up now and will be on the hunt for it. It's perfect!

Oh, yes. I grabbed all three of those mirrors. They're so pretty that I can't bring myself to use them lol. Too afraid they'll get smudged or scratched or lost.

Enough with the reds!  So disappointed with the quad colors too.  Boo.
I agree about the quads but I'm not sure why people get irritated with red lipstick? For me there are so many different kinds of red, that really do look very different on me, that I don't find myself irate with the release of another red lipstick. Plus- I mean Maleficent is a red lipstick kinda gal. Although I do think a purple would definitely have added dimension to this collection.

Oh why did you have to bring up that mirror? The Cinderella mirror is the only item in all of cosmetics that I was devastated I missed. By the time I even realized it existed, it was long gone. le sigh
