ok it seems like everyone is jumping on the mineral wagon whihc is great! however i've been too scared to buy ANY brand of mineral make up because i've hear it breaks people out. so does the mac mineral stuff break people out less than other brands? or am i just being very paranoid!!!

i'm really excited with the idea of a mineralized section being perm, with changing stock every few months. its nice to know they'll be there for X period of time so you can have time to budget if necessary or that the stock will change and you'll have new mineralized delights to ogle over! I'm very much liking this! (I like change and "perking" things up so this'll be nice, IMO)

Described as being the best-selling eyeshadows of the past, there will be three A Muse duos, and three Antiquitease duos. The colors featured are as follows: Engaging Earthly Riches Family Silver Heat/Element Illusionary/Burning Ambition Brightside/Gallery Gal This is great for anyone that missed these awesome shades! I can't help but notice that the mineralize single shadows from Flashtronic being missing (I loved those ones), and also the ACTUAL best seller from Antiquitease, Mi'lady. Perhaps we will see more older shades being repromoted later in the future? Hope everyone is as excited as I am!! |

I am still bummed that we have not heard confirmation about petticoat yet. I really hope that will be brought back. I am excited that all of these MES shadows are coming back. I love family silver and earthly riches. I am quite suprised about mi'lady not coming back. I hope that they bring that back in the future. I can't wait to hear more information when Bunny gets back from update! Man I wish I could be a fly on the wall during a MAC update!

Bunny, when I posted my gratitude to you in the "Any questions" thread, that was before reading this one. Oh. My. GOSH. Reading this update info has totally gotten me back into MAC excitement! Oversaturation in the last couple weeks had turned me a bit cold but with word of Illusionary/Burning Ambition coming back....
!!!!! It's the only one I haven't gotten my hands on and dang is it hard to do so! I'm soooo glad I can get it for decent retail now.

I guess MAC brings back the MES duos is for the sake of major consumers. It is more value for money comparing to Flashtronic or Rococo ones, you know *2 e/s in 1*. The majority consumers most probably wont not know that the different veinings will causes color difference. And also the Flashtronic ones can create a whole eye look with just a single shadow. Only us Specktratees knows all these tips

Can I ask, what is the point of repromoting things that are permanent? Wont these brushes be exactly the same as the ones that we can buy at any time? Sorry if its a silly question...I only got into MAC around January this year.

Usually when they repromote brushes, it's because those particular brushes are the best ones to use with the products in the collection. I think it's because putting them on the display with the products brings them back into the forefront of the shoppers mind. Personally, the last thing on my mind when new, exciting stuff comes out, are brushes so I usually ignore them anyways
