I know we have some serious nail lacquer junkies around here and I know you are dying for this. I am one of those nail junkies, btw.

This collection will feature 6 LE shades designed by Jin Soon Choi.

The last few fall seasons, the polishes have been on fire! This season is shaping up to be downright explosive. With unexpected colours and textures (oh yeah, you know I mean mattes), my anticipation level is at a 52 on a scale of 1-10.

What do you think?

Nailpolishes are one of my biggest weaknesses and when I think about the latest great nailpolishes like Love & Friendship and Mercenary I am getting excited!

Though I do have a lot of love for other brands and I will probably just buy the unique shades and/or try to find dupes from ZOYA or China Glaze for the others.

Just found an article:

Jin Soon Choi, a native of Korea, is a professional nail artist and the founder/owner of Jin Soon Natural Hand & Foot Spas in New York City. Known for her steady hands and detailed work she never air-brushes even on the most intricate designs.

Jin’s work is consistently featured on the cover and the inside pages Vogue, W, Allure, InStyle, Marie Claire, Teen Vogue, Vogue Nippon, British Vogue, Elle, GQ, Glamour, Harper’s Bazaar and Style.com. WWD proclaimed her the “media’s darling,” and in an historic seven-page spread featuring her nail art The New York Times Magazine crowned her the “Nail Guru.” She is the featured nail expert in Sonia Kashka’s book Real Beauty, and her nail care tips are valued by beauty magazine editors who regularly include them on their pages.

For Fall 2009 M.A.C. will launch a nail collection exclusively created by Jin Soon. The colors caused a sensation backstage at Doo-Ri during New York fashion week and have since been the subject of media buzz. In fact Jin and her team are a fashion week fixture ensuring that models hands and feet are runway-perfect. Her most recent shows were Oscar De La Renta, Derek Lam, Cynthia Steffe, and VPL by Victoria Bartlett; While past shows include J. Mendel, Matthew Williamson, Rebecca Taylor, Vera Wang, Vivienne Tam and BCBG.

Since Spring 2008 Jin has worked on advertising campaigns for Prada, Missoni, Mulberry, Dolce & Gabbana, DSquared2, Alberta Ferretti, Belstaff, PHI and Pringle of Scotland - all shot by prominent fashion photographer Steven Meisel. Additional fashion campaigns include Vera Wang, Calvin Klein Jeans, Elie Tahari, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Banana Republic, J. Crew and Jones New York. While beauty campaigns include L'Oréal, Cover Girl, M.A.C., Revlon, RMK, Sephora and Maybelline (print and TV commercials).

In addition to Steven Meisel, Jin works with many of the leading fashion industry photographers among them Michael Thompson, Irving Penn, Annie Leibovitz, Craig McDean, Steven Klein, Mario Sorrenti, David LaChapelle, Patrick Demarchelier, Carlton Davis, Paolo Roversi, Regan Cameron, Terry Richardson, Raymond Meier, Tom Munro, Philippe Salomon, Alexi Lubomirski, Gilles Bensimon and Joshua Jordan.

Sarah Jessica Parker was Jin’s first client at her spa in New York’s West Village, and it was here that Ms. Parker did her Vogue interview that season. Jin has also worked with Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Lindsay Lohan, Beyonce Knowles, Fergie, Mariah Carey, Jessica Simpson, Amy Adams, Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Connolly, Salma Hayek, Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep, Gwyneth Paltrow, Hillary Swank, Heidi Klum, Brittany Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Halle Berry, Ziyi Zhang, Amanda Peet, Uma Thurman, Sheryl Crow, Eva Longoria, Susan Sarandon, and Queen Latifa. Mary Louise Parker, Mandy Moore, Bebe Neuwirth and Christy Turlington are regular patrons at her spas.

I'm hoping for some cremes. They are always my weakness. Or maybe a metallic that works well. I would love a gunmetal that doesn't streak.

I think the collection will include a good gray. They say it used at Doo.Ri at NYFW, and at Doo.Ri the models were supporting gray lips ( eek! ), but, gray nails would be a great complimentary!

I'm sure I'll love the shades, fall n/p shades are my thing!!! Love them!! But since I'm gonna stock up with the fall collections from other pro brands like Misa, Essie, ChG and Orly, I may not even buy one from this collection, since here Mac's n/ps are SOOOO expensive, 13 euros!! Soooo nooo Mac I'm sorry!!

I just really hope that they live up to my expectations. MAC has had such great polish colors recently but they take about 3 coats to be opaque. I hope that these are a different story as they really sound cool!
