I stopped by my MAC store today and I have to say I am completely disappointed!!!! I was looking forward to the perfumes, body wash, lotion, and salve. The perfumes were gross! I made the mistake of spraying Africanimal on my arm and had to smell it all through lunch---it smells like old, sour smelling people---YUCK!!!!!!!!! The lotion and body wash did nothing for me----not honey smelling at all! The salve was ok---I may get it next week during the sale---not sure yet. I really am glad I checked this out in person before buying because I would have been highly upset if I had bought this stuff!!!

i used the body wash today and wan't too keen on the smell. i'm very sensitive to smells, so i don't plan on buying the wash or creme. the salve, on the other hand, is heaven!

I have a feeling that when I am in Vegas this weekend that Buckwheat e/s and Queen Bee l/g might jump into my bag as well.

Plus I have to have buckwheat if Tish has it!

Is She's a Star a dupe of anything? Or what might it be close to? Online it sort of looks like Fine china, but I can't find any comparisons...

its not like fine china. FC has pink in it and is nowhere near as frosty as SAS.

Hi everyone
smiles.gif
. So I went to check out Naked Honey today and this is my little review on the items I bought.

Buckwheat: A pretty dark brown with gold sparkles. Yes, it looks like 1000 other browns I have but the texture is what sold me. Its very pigmented and goes on sooo smooth like buttah.

Pollinator: Beautiful matte light coral peach. I love this color but I almost didn't buy this because the pigment sucks badly. I have to reallyyyyyy put alot on to see it at all. I hope I can get this to work because the color is so pretty for summer.

Creme de Miel: Oh I love this! Light golden sheen with amazing pigmentation. This is a soft color and not a in your face gold but more like a hint of golden color. Lovely

.

Golden Nectar: I went against the people saying not to get this and I am not sure if I made the right choice lol. Granted, the overspray is amazing but of course it doesn't last ( why not MAC?)

. The color is nice though. The powder itself is the color of MSF natural in medium dark(as another reviewer had stated) and that is true... however..I swatched both powders and the textures are very different. MSF is more dry and sheer and golden nectar is smoother and more pigmented. It is a tad on the orange side so I have to see how this will look on tomorrow and can update then. I looked at Honey Light but under the overspray is this weird yellow colored powder. Not a good choice for people like me...NW20 in winter and NW25 in summer. Go with golden nectar if you choose to buy this.

Queen Bee: I may need a backup of this... or 2 or 3. This is a perfect peachy color for summer. Super pigmented and pearlized. I loveeee this. It's nothing much to look at in the tube ( but I am spoiled by looking at my dazzleglass tubes I guess) but on it is just such a beautiful color. Go get it. Wait.. don't get it.. then there is more for me

.

Hope this helps

I just bought most of this collection today. The colours are absolutely gorgeous. They work as neutrals for those less daring as well as bold for those that are more dramatic.

I agree as well. This powder gives you a nice glow and it does no give me any orange appearance.

I like it better than Matte2 because I find them to sometimes be a bit chalky. This was almost like ummm, maybe a Starflash. It's just so smooth and easy to get alot of color quickly. I have had Nylon for a while, and now Creme de Miel. I haven't put Creme on the eye yet, but I can tell that I will like it better, on me anyway. The textures are alike but Nylon has a white cast that looks too unnatural on me... in other words it is harsh in my opinion. I say get the limited edition first since you can always get Nylon later if you want it. The worst is wanting something limited and then it gets sold out.

I headed to the counter to check out Naked Honey, I liked the salve but didn't pick it up..will wait for the sale. Buckwheat is really pretty..but to me looked like a darker version of GO from the Starflash collection..so I have to think this over. Got Creme de Miel.. one word gorgeous, even though I have Feme Fi and Flip..this color is more of a pale yellow with a hint of green undertone..just beautiful. Pollinator is very pretty..but I had trouble getting it to show up. So no Pollinator for me..lol. The lipglasses were all very pretty, I really loved Buzz and Queen Bee..but got only one..Queen Bee. I compared Queen Bee to Smile and Queen Bee is more pigmented. This color is so pretty, I agree with BrokefromMac..this color is a must have if you are into peachy coral colors..might get a back up at the sale. Now the famous..or should I say not so famous powders. I swatches of Honey Light , Golden Nectar and MSF natural medium dark...to me, on my NC20 light olive/light yellow undertones. The Honey light was close to MSF natural medium dark..except that MSF had a tannish color added to the yellow and the Honey light was more yellow with a sheen to the powder. Golden Nectar was a peachy color with a slight orange cast and a slight sheen and more pigmented than the MSF medium dark. Sorry, but I am not going to comment on the fragrances..one of them gave me a nasty headache which I hope does not turn into a migraine headache. One thing, the one that I tried on my wrist I could not wash off...after washing my wrist and then putting Purell hand sanitizer..still the sickening smell remained on my wrist..it must of been love from the perfume as it wanted to stay on my wrist..but no love at my end...I wanted that smell off...lol .
