I know this is OT but there is a really good tutorial on You Tube using the alcohol method. The guy in the video uses the tip of a knife to drop the alcohol in between the pan and the plastic. He made it look really easy but I am still deathly afraid of depotting!

As much as i'm not too crazy for the orange packaging, its kinda starting to grow on me because it compliments some of the colours really nicely (ok, not that mauve blush LOL).

What really matters is how great this collection is and all the amazing shades we are getting with it!!! I think that's why the packaging is even starting to look good because the lipgloss, lipsticks, blush, & eyeshadows are really getting me excited!!!!

From what I saw today, this collection has something for everyone from us really fair girls to WOC. There is alot of potential once you get past the orange packaging.

I've been excited about this collection since day one. I dont like the color orange but I don't hate the packaging. The eyeshadows are gettin depotted regardless

Audrey, I just have to say thank you soooo much for answering EVERYONES questions, and not just one persons you know? I've been asking if the peach blush would suit an nc42/c4 for like 10 pages now, and everyone ignored me. So i appreciate it.

About those lipsticks you said u were getting....are those the 2 lightest ones? Cuz those are the ones I plan on getting too and I'm dying to know about the lightest l/s...if u have any more details that'd be great

I am getting more excited about this. Probably because I might be able to limit myself because of not liking the colors, rather than not having the money.

Aww, you are very welcome! I am very glad to help. I know it is really hard when you can't get to a counter to see things for yourself

As far as the peach blush goes, I think it could work, but it might take a few layers. It did show up fairly well on me, but I am pastey white, so that isn't hard. It is definately more pigmented then Shy Beauty BPB. Really, that's the only peachy blush I have and didn't compare it with anything at the counter. My husband was sitting in the car with the kids who were sleeping, and he was ringing my phone every 5 seconds to see when I was coming out cause he had no one to talk to

Pleasureseeker and Sunsonic are the 2 lipsticks that I am planning to get, and they are the two lightest ones. I think they are both very pretty, and will look nice on a variety of skintones. The gold one is shimmery, but not over the top metallic. A beautiful pale gold. The peach one is a nice light peach, not too pale and not too bright. It will be a nice change of pace for me, as almost everything I own for my lips is pink

I really liked the pieces of the collection I saw today because it is different from alot of what I have, and although I won't be getting a ton of stuff, there are a few pieces I am very excited about. If I get down to the counter again before the launches, I will do some comparisons with permanent stuff and let you know what I find out.

Thank you Audrey for the wonderful and thorough review. I still really want so much from this collection, as warm neutrals are right up my alley. And Magnetic field is so going to be mine. Aye carumba! my poor bank account. And thanks to erine, I know want the blushes too. Spaced out looks every bit as beautiful as you said it was.

Also, much apologies, but I finally was able to get swatches of all of the solar bits and posted them in the Solar Field swatch thread. Sorry for the lameness of these, as they are my first swatches like ever. At least they'll give an idea of what these look like.

I'm so sorry it took so long, but I had umm an owie and was on some lovely pain meds that knocked me out for most of the weekend. But I am better, so I finally got them done. I feel so guilty and much apologies for being so late posting them.

I also am falling in love with Sunpower now too. It does have a silver reflect, but it doesn't look dark on me at all. Almost a pale gold with silvery reflects on me.

there is fallout with these. LOTS! the main problem with that is that you can't blow or brush them away. the fallout sticks like glue. oh well, i'm getting them! all of them! just more reason to do your eyes first.

i think i said long ago that the container looked like the TLCs, but bigger. well, that's what the sample at update looked like. i don't know if anyone said this or not, but the container looks like and is the same size as the TLCs.

of course you had to post this right after i wiped it off my hand! it had been there for 6 hours so that i could take the pic when i got home! it is a duochrome. think motif, but instead of yellow, pink, and gold, its peach, pink, and gold. and a few shades darker. does that help?

Keep em coming erine! Sunpower is the one that I bought off ebay, and it seems to be the only one that I don't like. I'll have to wait until it comes in the mail to see if I like it. (no, i don't know why my text is italicized lol)

well, you can see the fallout on my hand. i used a q-tip to swatch and used very little (as to preserve my samples tehehe) and it went all over. like i said, do your eyes first and then wipe away the fallout and you'll be fine.

btw, i was gonna order two of each, but i used my finger to spread what was on my hand, and each swatch stretched three inches past my wrist. so a little goes a LLOONNGG way. only one each for me.

But as I said in the Heatherette thread some weeks ago: Even if the packaging wouldn't be my taste but I loved the shades and colors, I would buy them anyway!
