I keep checking this thread a few times a day and i kept wondering why is everyone going so crazy for the facial scrub??? Well after reading everyone's great reviews, i think you guys sold me!!! I get microdermabrasion done once a month (i'm only 23 but i have dry skin) and this scrub sounds like it will be the perfect thing to use during the weeks between my facials!!!

Also, i'm thinking about getting the lip exfoliator as well since i hate putting on lipstick or lipgloss and seeing dry lips! It just looks so scary in the tube!!!! LOL! How does it work? Do you just applying it and scrub it off? Thanks!

I just tried the scrub on myself and I love it. It does everything that I need a scrub to do but I don't feel like it's overly stripping my face. My skin had really been tweaking out on me over the last couple weeks and it helped it to be under control. I wonder what the long-term results will be though, because I'm hoping it will help with the pores on my nose that are always clogged (I do everything in the book, nothing unclogs them).

I got the 411 on the scrub from my local mac. I got it today, and it is black and gritty. Smells good, scrubs well.

I spoke to one of the ma's who said he doesn't recommend u use these on the face because it could be too harsh. Too much scrubbing can break capillaries (he went to a school for skincare) He said he would recommend this for the body but I think it would be just fine if used with a gentle hand on the face. Another ma said its really great for clarifying in that it lifts crap up out of the pores. I can't wait to rock the black face!

1-3 times a week. microfine 1-2 times a week. if you combine them, i'd say microfine/VAE-2/1 times a week, or 1/2 times a week.

apply them together with the flat top, then rub into lips with your finger. wipe off with a damp tissue/towel.

I have 2 more questions to you ladies:
1) How lustre is magnetic field?? Am I going to be very sorry to have purchased this just like Idol Eyes ???
2) For those that remember the all nail polish collection of 2004 "Delish" how would you compare the yellow and the blue nail polishes? I mean I have Soda-da and Blue Tips and I thought Blue Tips was the most beautiful shade of nail polish I had ever seen so I had bought a back up.. But alas nail polishes go bad as we know... Should I go for this one? Can anyone give me an idea?

Magnetic Fields is a "nice" lustre - not Idol Eyes like at all. Dunno about the polishes.

was he not listening during update? its specifically for the face, and can also be used on the body. too harsh for the face? what? using sugar as a facial scrub has been used for ages! yes, scrubbing too often/harsh can cause broken capillaries, but this scrub is the most gentle i've seen in a long time.

i too went to esthetic school.

What I did was apply it flat so that the conditioner and scrub went on at the same time, and I applied like 3 swipes on each lip. Then I took my finger and rubbed it in, and I kept doing that for like a minute. You can see the flakes coming off (its awesome)..
Then I took a tissue and sprayed it with water and wiped my lips off. They felt great afterwards. I freaking love this stuff. I brush my lips with my toothbrush every morning but this...is different.

GET IT...you wont regret it if you have flaky lips.

Hi ladies! My Macys counter doesn't sell their Neo Sci Fi stuff till next thursday but a kind MA showed me a preview!!

Barely ANYONE was in the store so I was pretty much freaking out with swatches and all that good stuff.

Now, the packaging. You guys are such wusses!

This color won't hurt your eyes! The containers are equal to a neon contruction cone, lol.

I am NW15 and let me tell you, for someone who is a little afraid of bold colors, I was pleasantly surprised by electro. Unfortunatly I don't care for orange, but I found that it was the same intensitiy as Lustering l/s. So if you are fair, and like orange..deff get this. No questions asked.

Our lips really feel soft afterward, don't they? It's quite a nice product. My MA said to not use water to wipe it off, but a wipe... I'm using neither, I'm using Cetaphil to take it off.

Are we going to need a back-up of this?

It is nice, but I'm taking mine back. If I can find the receipt.

On me, it looks more black than brown and I don't want a sparkly blackish eyeshadow colour for spring.

Ah well, here is my review (i just used this time- definitely loving it). As a side note my skin is normal/combination with some rough bumpy patches in some areas that many exfoliators can't seem to get rid of (I NEED a facial!)

The first thing I noticed is that this stuff is sticky, blacker than black, and very gritty. The smell is earthy, with a hint of that classic mac skincare scent. Prior to hopping in the shower, I rubbed this into my skin gently and let it sit for a couple of minutes. I hopped into the shower and rinsed it off, still gently rubbing.
The end result? My skin is luminescent and bump free! Seriously, I am in love with this exfoliator! Methinks I need a backup!!

its definately a goo! the grit is the sugar. it also contains sulfur, but thankfully it doesn't smell like it! it also cleanses, but is not to be used in place of a cleanser. you still need to cleanse, then use this to exfoliate.

glad to hear your bumps went bye-bye.
