Not at all! I am a total packaging nut too - if makeup is about beauty, then ugly packing kinda defeats that for me. When I am doing my makeup, being surrounded by beautiful things is really part of the whole process.

^^ i agree with glamqueen. if i'm looking through my shadows, i want to be able to focus on the actual shadows. the packaging would distract me. ;D

I don't think MAC would repeat special packaging colors they've used before. Actually, I think really bright yellow or orange packaging (think bright color packaging as in Heatherette) could be very cool, certainly very summery. Especially bright yellow with black trim, would look so slick and cheerful. I'm just guessing though. I'm trying to think of previous promo pictures for collections with special packaging and if they were linked. Lure was, with mermaid imagery and then the green packaging. I can't remember the promo shot for last summers special packaging collection though, so I don't know if my theory holds water.

The Moonbathe promo pic included the colors of the special packaging, I think. Also Lure. So I agree with you that you can maybe find an allusion in the Neo Sci-Fi pic to the packaging again.

Yucky! Even yellow would have been better than orange, orange is just blahhh IMO.

What is that for a year? First we had Fafi, then pink with Heatherette and now orange with Neo Sci-Fi....

Imagine your pink lipsticks next to the orange ones in your bathroom. What will it look like? (Sorry, was just a thought.)

And no eyeshadows? I would love to have single eyeshadows!!

i'm really kind of disappointed by this collection

the only thing that looks mildly appealing to me right now is the bright blue nail lacquer.

but i mean, it's only product photos... so i could change my mind :S

im not into the collection so much either but the packaging is soo pretty... i like the look of 2 lipsticks (the orange and the nudey one at the bottom) and maybe one lipglass ... i hope eyeshadows will be out with this!! and msf's

My first reaction was "ugh!", but the packaging's growing on me... I don't think I'll love it but I don't mind having it in my collection. Definitely no qualms about depotting. =P

I LOVE that yellow polish tho... I think out of this whole collection I'll be buying up the polishes!

I am a bit disappointed about the shades. I don't like the colors that much. I guess I will buy one of everything because of the packaging, but I will probably get more from Naughty Nauticals.
