I've always felt that there was too much product, for my use, and would have liked a smaller option to purchase - but not at the same price as a full size! 2.5 grams is only 1/3 of the original product, so logically, it should be no more than half the price, according to any pricing I've ever seen. I think this is a crappy tactic, and it was used with the Neo Sci Fi eyeshadows, earlier this year, as well.
In fact, since the site is listing these at 7.5 grams, and if it's true they're only 2.5 grams (which I haven't personally checked), I would complain to whatever agency would be responsible for oversight of business practices. A class action lawsuit has already been won once against Estee Lauder. Are they looking for round two?
I'll be going to the Pro Store tomorrow, and you can bet that I'll know the standard weights, and be checking on this practice. It may be the impetus I needed to explore some other brands. For instance, Stila, from whom I've bought a few shadows, and found them to be much more generously proportioned. Also, I hear that Shu is back in Holt Renfrew's, and I've always wanted to check that brand out. Their fall duos look great.
I'll be really sad not to buy my Blonde's Gold, though, I really wanted that one.
