WTF lol? If you look at the bigger picture of the back of it it says 'made in taiwan'. Does MAC ever give tips on the product as well? If its a fake of a real product i wouldnt know though!

Yeah, I mean, you could go to the craft store and buy fake pearls for this purpose. Supposedly MAC originally sold them for $18 US!
