Sorry if I missed this info somewhere but does anyone happen to know if all the PC lippies will be retro matte finish? Please say it ain't so. I wore TTT today and now I feel like someone punched me in the lips. No joke!
All are RM except Hautecore, which is matte.

Thank you. Any tips on how I can make a retro matte lippie work on my terminally dry, chapped lips? I love these colors too much to pass up. It's not the fact that the lippies get flaky on me, it's that my lips actually hurt from wearing them.

Aside from the usual prepping them beforehand (exfoliating, moisturizing, blot, P&P), when you remove the lippie at night, apply coconut oil on your lips as well as a super hydrating and intensive healing lip conditioner for overnight. This will help repair and soothe your lips for the beating they took during the day from the lippie. Seriously, coconut oil is a miracle worker for everything! Are you currently wearing a primer underneath them?

Honestly, I am so clueless when you comes to caring for my lips! I think you've given the most useful and informative advice I've ever heard. For several years now, I have suffered from severely dry, sickly lips and I drink a lot of water. I've never tried primer under my lipstick, a mac MUA told me it wouldn't help my lip problem. So I've always just stuck to my jack black lip balm and exfoliating my lips, which isn't working. Next time I go to mac I'm gonna buy P&P and try the rest of your suggestions. Thanks again!

You're very welcome! Sorry they completely dismissed you about the P&P. the reason i asked about it was because I'm thinking it may provide a protective barrier between your lios and the lippie, and help keep it from irritating your lips so much. Lip balms can do the same to an extent, but those eventually absorb into the lips, leaving no barrier at all, but the P&P remains in the lips, keeping the lippie from contacting your lips directly. Also, if you line your lips, line AND fill, allowing the liner to provide an extra layer between the lippie and the primer and your lips. Get a very basic, soft bristled tooth brush (so it's not so harsh), and once you're done brushing your teeth in the morning (your lips will be softened from the water) gently rub your lips with it until they feel smooth. Then apply lip balm and let it soak in while you do your makeup. Apply your lips very last in your makeup routine. Gently blot off the remaining balm. Apply the P&P and let it get tacky for 1-2 minutes (this conditions and preps lips to help hold colour on). Apply liner if wanted and then apply lipstick. Then follow the removal process i recommended.

I have the same problems with my retro mattes except, TTT. But I have used Neosporin lip health under the lipsticks and it helps a lot. Try it.

Non makeup related- Did you ladies hear Paul Walker is dead? :( I went to the Man Candy thread but no one was there.
It's all over Instagram at first I thought it was a Hoax but people are saying its true. This is incredibly sad my prayers go out to his family.

Oh yeah, it's real. At first I went to CNN and nothing was there and then I went to Yahoo and nothing was there so I refreshed my page a few times and it popped up on Yahoo and I was like "NOOOOO!!!". I saw on someone's instagram someone was telling them about it and I was wondering what she was talking about. I was hoping she wasn't telling the truth.

prep and prime works wonders! I use it with all my lipsticks but I didn't let it get tacky I'm gonna leave it on for a little then apply
