MAC Quite Cute Discussion

Ooooh. Thank you for the lip swatch website. I'm a little disappointed in the Quite Cute lippie. I thought it might be just a tad darker. I'm still getting it, but maybe if it had been an amplified it would hold more color when applied. I am loving Candy Yum Yum & the other purple lippie. Wish Playing Koi was in this swatch batch as well.

well looking at the lipsticks i no longer want the light lavender one because i was thinking it was going to look closer to blooming lovely lipstick which i missed out and really really want

so now im just getting candy yum yum lipstick and sakura blush. Im still debating on one of the plushglasses, either the nude one or one of the pink ones... i will have to wait and see the swatches, but if i do get i will only get ONE. i wanna save up for surf baby.

Agreed. This should've been a V-day collection! I love the quad, I think it would be very wearable, especially Azuki Bean! I love that color. This is the first time that I've been interested in a quad for the past year!

I noticed the discrepancy too. I think with the other smaller promo pic with the actual products, there were 5 glosses to match the 5 lipsticks. They must have gotten rid of one of them, for right now we don't know which one. I think the peach one might've been cut.

Thank you so much for the new promo images!!! I noticed a couple of things that don't seem to line up with the colour story, so I'm wondering whether it's just the colours in the promo images, or if there have been some changes:

- There seems to be a neutral coloured lipstick, but not a peachy one; if the lipstick on the left is Playing Koi, it's a lot browner than I'd expected, so I might not *need* this one
- There's a peach-coloured lipglass, but only one pink (unless the peachy one is actually Fashion Fanatic, in which case I might put that on the list...)

As always, swatches will be the decision point... I'm so excited for this collection!! Thanks again to the ladies who tracked down these images!

As of right now, I’m getting TWO of the lavender blush-I wish I’d backed up Azalea Blossom Blush Ombre from Spring Color Forecast last year and I will not make that mistake again. Especially if Sakura is a cool light pinky lilac color! I also need the lavender Plushglass (I <3 U)-I wonder if I can B2M for a Plushglass? Does anyone know?

I’ll have to test the lipsticks in person so I’ll wait for that to launch at my local counter, but seriously as SOON as this collection hits online I am getting two Sakuras and the plushglass if I can’t B2M for it.

I need this collection to come out NOW! I’m so excited!!

last time i went for a b2m which was like 2 months ago, the mua told me they no longer b2m for the glosses, only for lipglasses but nothing else, so no like plushglasses or lustreglasses etc. idk if it was just in that macstore or for every mac store though.

After seeing the swatches, my list has been severely cut down. I was afraid most would be too pale for me.

More money for Surf Baby though, right....?

Aw, Quite Cute lipstick doesn't look like it would work out for me. I wish she had a pic of Play Koi b/c I am really curious about that one (probably won't work on me either, though). Also, Play Time isn't that intense and that's disappointing to me. I already have Bubble Tea and Girl

For the life of me I can't remember if I have one or two pencils of Boldly Bare?!? I have to do a search, lol... If I only have one, I'll need a backup! Oh and Naked, while I feel it'll last me a long time (these pencils are long!) I kinda want a backup of that, too...hmmm :/
I am looking at a couple of glosses, mayyybe a lipstick and maybe 1 blush....we'll see.

EDIT: looks like I only have one Boldly Bare according to my MAC account, lol

You know. LMD84 is right. Quite Cute is more of a lilac color than a lavender (I like both). Maybe if it were a
white lavender it would be more purpley. I'm still going to buy the Quite Cute cause I love anything purpley and unique.
I also wish that Play Time was really an intense purple shade. It looks light in the swatches. Unless it's a weak swatch.
I'll have to wait & see.

Quite Cute looks like it would to be good if I were after a dead zombie-look. It's so pale, gray and white, really unattractive for me, not quite cute at all. I was hoping something flattering. But like I wrote in the early buzz-thread, CYY and PT are much more appealing to me, especially CYY. I find that lipsticks usually look darker in the promo pics, and I hope the peachy lipstick is not as whited out as QC.

I prefer lustreglass/lipglass over plushglass because of the smell/feel of them, but I do use occasionally the few I have for the lovely colours (Foolishly Fab!) they come in. These new ones do look pretty.

I don't know what to think of Quite Cute l/s. It looks so light...but Play Time looks very nice. I regret not getting Go For It from In The Groove and Play Time looks a lot like it. The blushes still look amazing! I like I <3 you plushglass too, it looks like a nice purple. I wish Quite Cute was more like I <3 you in lipstick form.

Quite Cute doesn't look like it would work for me either *smh* I will still attempt in-store just to see but I have a feeling it's a no go...
And all of the plushglasses do look really cute! I'm still loving the blushers and plan on getting either Giggly or Sakura.. or both!

I know it is frustrating to wait for the collection, but you will get the chance to see swatches etc before the collection reaches you.
