Pearl MSF
Crystal Pink MSF
Rose Quartz MSF

Musky Amethyst lipstick

I almost bought Goldstone but no matter what how it was applied it was still too orange and oompa loompa looking on my NW15 skin

You got 3 MSF! So what do you think of the colors? Which one ended up being your favorite?

I actually ordered Goldstone as it looked really subtle in the store. You have me freakin out a little...mine is due for delivery any time now ;)

Yeah, Chanel is hogging all the $$$$ ;)

MAC should just make the mineral line permanent. It has a huge following when its done right.

I don't think you have to worry. I have two friends who are NW10-15 and they really like GS. The trick is not to apply it over heavy foundation, but only use a light foundation, TM, or another primer, and buff out the product. I hope you will enjoy it.

But ill remain strong and not buy an msf. I know Mac-Guy will make me want it but i have to ignore him on this one (and quarts fusion)
Haha, with your "luck" ordering online, you are not allowed to order any nipples over the web. :) If you want an MSF, call a f/s store and describe what kind of MSF you want. Shipping is only $7. I think you might like Pearl or even CP (if you embrace your pink side), or get GS to join your SB LLG and GGL bronzing family :)

I feel this is truly a YMMV product that is best tried before purchased. I do not wear heavy foundations. Even after buffing it was too orange for my taste. I much prefer the Chanel and MUFE bronzers to this. What works for one NW15 may not work for the other.

That said, Elegant, I think you may be fine. It is very sheer especially when you buff it.

I like all three for various things. I think Pearl is the most versatile. I think I will get alot of wear out of CP in the fall and winter. I haven't had a chance to play with Rose Quartz yet. I've been too busy playing with my Chanel RT JC (which I adore). Thanks for the rec on that one!

Are you planning on wearing CP all over the face or as a blush? I'm sure it will look lovely for a wintery ice queen look.

Well, I have not been wearing foundation at all over Summer

Just keeping very nice skin these days which at almost 52 isn't that easy

I just find that blush looks much more true to color, softer & natural without foundation.

SOOooooo much nipple talk I say

I have to say, I actually returned Goldstone and my 235 brush today - yes, it's true. I am a NW20 and I figured out I was doing to much covering of the Goldstone to keep it. The gold sparkles were too much for me. I figured there's no sense in keeping it if I was spending so much time and effort to cover it up. And the 235 brush was too big for what I like to do with the new collection on my eyes, so back it went too. I am using my #219 brush more for the patting of the new eye shadows, then my finger for blending.

Today I used the Big Bounce Black Diamond, smoothed out so it was a bit transparent, darker in the "v", with some grape pigment - lightly applied then used the more purple of the Unsurpassable on the "v" and the crease and more of the lime green in the inner corner. I was worried it might look too much like an Easter egg, but it came out more Kodachrome than anything else. Sorry I can't get pics, hopefully my son will return my camera soon!

I have been playing with some of my recent e/s purchases and I have to say I think MAC did a great job with the shadows here. I swatched all the my new mes using a barely damp 252 and these are just stunning. Good color payoff and smooth to apply. Clarity looks great with Plummage and Delft. Smokey Ruby looks great with Flammable paint as well as Stila Smudge Pot in Pomegranate.

I would use it as a highlighter for the obvious highlighting areas, but you should also try to wear the outer circle as an all-over-face powder (lightly - you can always build it up). It used the 189 with CP yesterday and it looked less dramatic as anticipated. Mind the nipple, otherwise it can be too glittery, although mine does not have a lot of glitter, but more pink veining. CP takes a bit more work to buff it into the skin - it tends to sit more on top whereas GS and Pearl melt easier. I did not like that I had to use an extra brush, but hey, this should not be a big deal. CP can definitely be worn during daytime if applied lightly. IMO, it brightens up my skin more than any of the other SP MSF family member. I have to admit, CP had to grow on me, but I am glad I purchased it.

My surprise favorite of the bunch. Looks great over Bare Canvas or Beiging (both of which are my usual bases). I would like to try it over a colored base but don't know which. I will try it with Luxury Touch Big Bounce later this evening. And maybe over a dark base just to see.

April - what do you think of Rare Find? Have you tried it on yet?

I am so glad that so many of us have all gone off the deep end together with this collection! It makes me feel much better about dropping.......an entire paycheck (or two!) on all my new gems. I just re-swatched as many different versions as possible of a few of the colors that people seem to be hemming and hawing over: Clarity, Unsurpassable and Jade's Fortune to see how different or similar they are to each other. And I know that it TOTALLY depends of the veining in each one but my scientific testing has deduced the following (LOL):

CLARITY: he best looking in the pan, upon first swatch in the store I thought it looked too glittery and too grey, and too similar (but not as pretty as) Jade's Fortune. NOW I think it is awesome! The glitter is actually more like "sparkle" and to me there is totally a difference. The sparkle is more of a transparent relflects teal and not a harsh metallic glitter, and when clarity is all mixed with it's darks and blacks the teal reflection really comes out, especially beautiful when worn over a brown base. I think all of them have a good amount of white/pink/gold as well so it is a good one for an overall lid look all the way from light to dark. It IS similar to JF but if you are a makeup junkie (and you are) I would say the two are definitely different enough to own both. The are kind of like the "Day" and "Night" versions of each other.

UNSURPASSABLE: Freaking gorgeous! But mine has a LOT of Darker teal and Purple right in the center so I can pull a lot of violet out of mine, and it also has some great lime green and white areas around the edges so I can really separate the colors if I want to (and I do!). Mine barely has any copper glitter veining (thank goodness!) so I don't have to worry so much about the lack of cohesion between the base green color and topical sparkle as I originally feared. If you are going to go for this shadow and have a choice of veining I would say to make sure that there are clear areas of lime/white (you can only see the white if you look closely, but it will really help brighten any greens that are in there), as much purple as possible, and as little copper glitter as you can muster.

JADE'S FORTUNE: THIS IS THE BEST ONE OF ALL OF THEM!!!! In fact it is my fave from the whole collection. Mine has VERY distinct color sections that are really easy to use separately, so I may be biased.......But the great thing about this shadow is that I can take it from iridescent pink glowy highlight, to bright chartreuse, to dark blue sheen, over to taupe, and then onto teal and all the way into shimmery charcoal...ALL IN ONE SHADOW! I absolutely recommend choosing this shadow in person to get the best range of colors. Its not really about the amount of any one color to me, it is more about how much space is between each one, but even if you get a tightly swirled one the overall mixture of colors and textures on this one is to DIE for, and there seems to be very little glitter.

So....the overview: Of the 3 JF is the best, and in my opinion has the far superior texture of being shimmery and glowy, with very little "sparkle" or glitter. However, Clarity is really nice as well and in the same Charcoal/taupe with presence of teal family, but if you want "sheen" and not glimma glamma I would make sure you swatch in person (in daylight! MAC lighting always makes everything look wayyyyy sparklier than in real life). Unsurpassable is incredibly unique, so even though I am not losing my cool over it in this review, if you like greens and teals, or just really unique shadows with a cool chartreusey glow then you should nab this now. You won't ever see another shadow like this one.

OH my heavens that was long! And I haven't even started with my other MES "experiments"!
I Just figured that a lot of the other shadows are more self explanatory, and easy to suss out from swatches and pics, etc. Obviously Golden Gaze and Smoked Ruby are the best things since sliced bread, but you can see that from everyone else's swatches (even Temptalia's scathing reviews! OUCH She HATES this collection! LOL).

If anyone has any questions about any of these MES (or MSFs...brushes....etc) I am all about them at the moment and would be more than happy to give my 2 cents. Obviously!

It's hard to avoid the copper or get any purple (or white) with my Unsurpassable. I can't see any white at all on mine, and only a couple of tiny spots of purple. It's green and copper all the way

Oh MAN, that looks NOTHING like mine! It is crazy to really see how incredibly different each one of these really is.....this is like a whole different eyeshadow! Where is the purple? I am trying to get my pics of mine to load so that I am not leading people astray with my descriptions as if they were universal. I was trying to help but it really is just SO subject to the random hands that swirled these!!!! Thanks for posting your pic, it really does just go to show that describing any one of these is fruitless!

Yep, crazy, right?

Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of being able to visit a MAC counter or store, so I have to order online, and this is what I got.
