MAC - Semi Precious Discussion

this made you post your pic and all huh? it's tricky to know yourself. i really mean it.

Yu have ur tear ducts pointing downwards so it shouldnt be difficult to create the almond shape effect. if you have skype or something we could play around and i'd show you how to do it. I have my end of lashline also pointing downwards and my tear duct is straight so i'm in a worse position than u, hun!

I think make up is very difficult. people underestimate how hard it really is to take advantage of what we have naturally, and to "hide/conceal" or even distract from our not so good looking features. cupids bow and eye shape are really hard to define. And a lot of make up artists they claim to know it all but they dont pay attention to these details.

Back in the 90's make up artistry (in school and stuff) was all about correction (maybe a lil excessive but still good) and it made people actually look better in terms of shape and cannon, but then people started going "artistic" and in the "IDGAF" mode... and ......the rest you know..... racoons, sorority black eyes, hooker looking dark lip pencil with lighter lipstick not blended...etc.

i feel like any colors can suit anyone depending on what theyre going for and how they use it. As for the eye shape I dont have ANY clue on how to make it so that my eyes can look elongated. my top lid is so rounded. I tried making a thread in the recommendations forum for it but nobody wrote anything last time i checked lol

We called that the Salt N Peppa look. Don't forget the taupe lipsticks with the super dark, unblended counter shading with too dark brown blush under the cheek bones

Well, for my part, I'm thrilled that make up is ever evolving and reinventing itself. How boring would it be if we wore the same make up and/or color that we had 10 years ago. Now, some trends are not flattering for the majority of the population, but more power to those who can pull it off.

So is everybody still using their MES, MSF, and MB from SP?

Rose quartz and Goldstone are my faves. Though, Goldstone has much bigger chunks and it's harder for a NC15 person to wear it :)

i dont use the nipple at all... i only use the whote portion and just dab it a lil so i get the sparkle on my cheeks but thats about it. I wanna get a matte highligh. Drag style. A matte whitish powder that will stay on my skin.... Do u know of any? I saw MUFE having a sculpting kit but... Im worried the brown side will be too damn orange and i dont have a sephora here or any type or make up counter....

From the MES, I use my Clarity a lot! Almost every other day! And the MSF, I use Goldstone as a bronzer, not very often though, and I 'm waiting my tan to fade and be more pale to use Crystal Pink.

I use Goldstone every day and rotate the other MSF of SP on a daily basis. I also like Feeling Flush and Pressed Amber and use them a few times a week, even though I really like Equi from MMO. This collection was just extraordinary for me. My Goldstone has a dent in it and I'm glad I purchased multiple BU's.

What? We're not supposed to be wearing what we wore 10 years ago? What about 20 - I think that's back in!

I'm still loving most of the collection. I just wish I had purchased the Hint of Sapphire. Yesterday I wore the Big Bounce in Black Diamond in the v part and the Big Bounce with the Free as Air on the inside of my lid with the darker part of Blue Sheen on the v and the lighter part of Blue Sheen on the inside. I was wishing I had the Hint of Sapphire to put on the inside, but didn't so that was why I used the Free as Air. Hubby liked it. I'm not sure yet what I thought of it

. I rarely use my Goldstone, but use Pearl several times a week. I will be taking Unsurpassable and Jades Fortune with me to Vegas, there are so many colors in the two of those it's like having an entire palette in one little container.

i use the nipple as an independent product like a blush (im wearing it right now) and the outer as another product lol

I love feeling Flush and I like to combo it with Tendertone for a very natural blush look. I am using Rose Quartz fairly often. I was less impressed with the MES, but I guess that should not surprise me, since I am rarely impressed with them in vito, although these are gorgeous in the pan. I have not touched my Crystal Pink much. I like the nipple part of that one but I do mostly day time looks and so I avoid too much shine and sheen. Now, lets hope this changes if my retinol creams are effective...

Goldstone, Pearl and Crystal Pink are in permanent rotation. Seriously, the formula on these have pretty much made all my other MSF obsolete. I even checked out Lightscapade on my cheekbones yesterday, courtesy of my MA pulling one out of the back room, and while there was no denying that fairy-like opalescent sheen, the texture felt really old fashioned now, and just a little too thick. Semi-Precious has spoiled me.

Warmth of Coral is going to do its duty along with Equilibrium this fall. 'Really won't need anything else for daily use, when combined with the MSF, other than the occasional Giggly (and Briar Rose for night).

I use Semi-Precious MES pretty much every time I wear shadow. Clarity, Golden Gaze, Dark Indulgence and Rare Find in particular are going to get a workout combined with the new p/p and fluidlines.

They didn't get the love they deserve, but I use all the lipsticks and glosses from this collection too! One of a Kind, Gem of Roses, Geo Pink, Richly Revered - they're all totally effortless and so sexy and flattering. I've made a serious dent in all of them and will probably back up at least the cremesheen glasses before they disappear.

Basically, best collection all year for forward looking colors plus tech innovation plus versatility.

Hey guys,... do you know of a dupe for the nipple part of the semi-precious pearl MSF?? Im using it lately as a blush and its gonna become some sort of nippleless boob soon....

its orange with some gold shimmer. The closest I can think of is taj mahal by nars but it doesnt come close....
