Does anybody know if limited life brushes are also limited in quantities? Or will they stick around for a while?

I want three of the lipsticks from this collection. The picture is showing a red one, but there's one missing. It's the Musky Amethyst and that's suppose to be a deep purple color not a redish color. Or am I getting confused?????

I'm wondering if that lovely red one is Musky Amethyst. It wouldn't be the first time that Mac had a broad definition of "purple".

I'm sure I read they described it as a 'deep plum' which to my mind isn't amethyst at all - amethyst should be purple.

Revlon had a beautiful purple color lipstick called Amethyst Smoke and it was a beautiful bright purple. That is how I would
think Musky Amethyst would be. Kind of a smokey purple color. The red is throwing me off and making me pretty mad.

As Katred mentioned above, it wouldn't be the first time MAC's variation of "purple" was messed up. Purple!!!! I want purple!!!! Hear me MAC.

From what it looks like, I'm going to say purple with a red/brown cast (which would certainly be in the plum department). If it's like the Krazy Kahuna + Bust Out! combo I've been loving in lustre lipstick formula, I will be totally down with this.

FWIW, I had an amethyst pendant years ago that was a reddish purple stone. It was really beautiful - wish I knew what became of it. I had a bunch of jewelry stolen at one point.

I think amethyst (the stone!) can range from pink over red to purple, but generally it is more associated with purple. Let's see what MAC comes up with for this name.

... it depends on your addiction

The kabuki brush looks the most gimmick-y to me, especially as the bristles are not half-half as the others. But I guess we need more photos and descriptions. It's about time!

I was at my mac counter today and the MA said she liked the kabuki the most of the brushes. She said it was really nice for contouring and blending out blush and the two sides do work differently. She said you could use them by turning the side you want to use in the direction you are pulling your brush, if that makes any sense.

This does make sense, especially as the brush is angled. Thanks for the update. Did the MA recommend any other brushes? Oh man, July will be such an expensive month!

Thanks for this! Can't wait to see/try it next month in store :)
