Oh wow, I didn't know that. Why would there be such a huge discrepancy in the the prices? Does MAC allow the dept stores to price it however they want, or did MAC give the wrong info to them? Really odd.
i wanted the sharon blush but when i kept seeing the price mark up i just could not.. 23-29 is a lot of extra money, especially if i don't know y.

I wouldn't think that MAC would allow them to charge whatever they want to.

Macy's is also my first choice whenever my MAC store is SO. I'm not sure if they get more stock (doubt it), but they definitely have less traffic than your typical MAC store.
This has always been my experience as well. I now go to my Macy's counter for launches instead of the local freestanding store. I was able to get everything from AA that I wanted with no hassle.

ITA. I was going to go to my Macy's for the launch to swatch and possibly buy one (or both) of the blushes but I can't bring myself to purchase it at $29 knowing it's selling elsewhere for $23.

I agree, and Nordies has it listed at $23.

I'm finding this really, really hard to take right now.
I emailed MAC customer service this picture, together with the picture with the mound of boxes. This was their response...

I'm probably skipping the whole collection actually! Stopping by a store on my way home in the next hour and I MIGHT get DG if they still have it but as it stands I'm not going to be upset if I don't get it. If I fall in love with it on swatching and they're sold out (which seems likely) there is one store that hasn't put it up online yet left to stalk, if I have the energy.

Sadly Plan B is often needed with these crazy Mac launches! I went to Plan B first this time lol We shall see if it works!

Running back to stress free Chanel, Dior, TF, YSL & Guerlain. Oy Vey

I have until tomorrow to put plan B into play. Perhaps a shipping notice

 will materialize before then.

Definitely! And even when I didn't get what I wanted from the mac launch, it wasn't too difficult to get things from the other websites. I almost feel like Kelly O. did this on purpose. She knows MAC, so she probably knows how quickly things sell out, and I wouldn't be surprised if she asked to have stock more limited.

LOVE your laid back approach! I hope it works out---whatever you decide.

omg i get so mad when i give up sleep for no reason! wish i had known lmao. than you girl for the info
Don't believe that person. I've been told that before and they've released stuff on belk. Luckily I always checked belk anyway and didn't miss out. If that were the case they wouldn't have Sharon's up already.
