Thanks so much for your thoughts. I'm so glad I didn't buy sp or rh because I saw it on a dark skin tone gal on insta and the lippies were very chalky. Can't wait to try Bijou!!!Anyway I hope this helps someone. If I didn't talk about it I didn't buy it. There's my 2 cents
I do the dab n smoosh elegant method of using lipsticks tooI have been wondering about DG.
I'm worried about it being both too white based and too matte for my comfort, so I had decided to give it a miss.
The colour does look beautiful on everybody. I may check this out in store and use your idea of lightly patting the lipstick on and see if that works for me.
Hey there skin twin!Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I'm NC 44 and have been patiently waiting for thoughts on the products from other "toasty" gals like us )
Thank u so much for your review. I will definitely be keeping this in mind when I make my purchase. If I used cork lipliner with RH and a light orange or peachy gloss...could it work for me? I'm NW43 or NC47 (if they had one).Woc @nc50-I've tried all of my haul out (I'm too shy for posting swatches and lip shots and all that) here's what I find happened: Kelly yum yum-we have seen this color before yes, but this is bright and nice. This is a super YES. Dodgy girl: it's cute enough but you'll have to work with it a little. It's not tooooo ashy but on my lips I see more pink than lavender. I wanted it to look more purple. It's worth a try. When it looks right it looks good. Strip poker and riot house: fuggheddaboutit. Just not for us. If you work with these you'll be working for a while on your lips or totally changing the product completely, so why buy it? Way too chalky on my mouth but I knew they'd be, was just hoping for different. Peaches and cream: CRAZY pigmented. It has a reddish tone to it, almost a red brick thing going, but it's nice and shows up WELLLLL. Cheeky bugger: comes off a little ashy on me but it can work. It's pigmented but I wouldn't buy it again. Out of the two I'd say Sharon's is more for the dark ladies. Patent polishes: YES YES AND MORE YES. French kiss is backup worthy. It's a nice everyday balmy nude. Patent pink is ok alone if you put it on very lightly but it works because it's so sheer. Innocent- a little ashy but basically balm anyway so I don't know if is suggest it to anyone really unless they need a balm. Ruby-I don't like light red/stained berry looks so I would pass on a bu, but if you like that stained berry look it's actually pretty. For woc-these are the lip products to look at. Bijou-NIIIIICCCCEE everyday no fuss nude lipglass. Reminds me of spice lipglass when I put it on because I can apply without looking and know it's ok. Pussywillow-it's a basic but pretty slightly pearlish glittery color that works. I'd suggest it if you like layering but I like wearing these alone. This is what I expected gold mirror to be. I say try it unless it's too basic or you don't like glittery lips. Sharon's MSF: it's ok if you're looking for a glowy highlight or a blush that doesn't scream IM WEARING BLUSH but will only add a little color with a slight bronze sheen. It's like a more bronzy and less red format blush when the two colors are mixed together. Not bad but not essential. The big portion leans red on me. Between the MSF and Sharon's blush, id grab the blush. Kelly's MSF: if I did it over id skip it. Too ashy and light, but you can work with it for highlighting if you like to work hard for your highlight. I think all the nc/nw25 and down will love it. Brushes-the 183 and the 167 are the best of the 4. The other 2 are just minis of other brushes I never use so blah. Quality isn't bad though. I'd get the 183 and 167 if I wasn't collecting. Anyway I hope this helps someone. If I didn't talk about it I didn't buy it. There's my 2 cents
My friends want to play with your friendsthey say hey girl hey
haha, yes i know...i always pay attention to your posts. NC44' s unite!Hey there skin twin!
I don't care if I have to reapply a lipstick 7 or 8 times over the course of the day as long as it looks fabulous on. I prefer that to a matte that lasts longer but is drying; leftover dry looking staining is not an attractive look, thanks.Darling, you beaten up lips would love some PPs.Seriously, I think it comes down to your needs and wants. I want moisture and make it a priority. On the downside, I just deal with the fact that I frequently need to reapply. I doesn't even bother me, though it is definitely more costly (my first SS is already half-way gone).
I claim that all the products you show here looks so amazing on you as you carefully choose what you like and what goes well with your complexion. #teamsmartbuy all the way. Stick to it. This strategy serves you very well.
Yep! 2 Bu's cannot hurt LOL! I wear it all the time too!Ha! You KNOW you should
Our endless love for HD!!! I wear it all the time.
It's more of a pink stain but you for sure see the lavender too.
I'm going to wear DG using my finger & lightly patting the color onto my lips so it has a lovely soft sheer tone to it.
My Bijou is out for Deliver - funny - that its arriving sooner than my 7am launch order. The rest arrives tomorrow.I might chase the UPS guy like a dog does the mailman tomorrow.

Brilliant. I do the same. Once it's open, I'm on a mission.I don't care if I have to reapply a lipstick 7 or 8 times over the course of the day as long as it looks fabulous on. I prefer that to a matte that lasts longer but is drying; leftover dry looking staining is not an attractive look, thanks.
I have less than a third of Out for Passion left and my other summer shades are going down fast. The Patentpolish will probably be the same. It irks me somewhat that the price point of twist up pencil lip products is so much higher given the relatively small amount of product, but given that I've bought three Guerlain bronzers in the last month individual prices aren't my main concern. I don't need anything so now I'm just buying something because I like and want it. MAC lip product pricing is still in my comfort zone.
I've bought a heaps of MAC lip products this year; if I'm going to buy 12-18 or lipstick/gloss a year, I'm fine with them being used up quickly. I prefer it actually; I get bored of colours pretty quickly and would rather try the next one.
I have Rusty set aside for fall, but I'd love some nice moist fall shades in a Huggable or PP finish for the fall/winter.
