Mineral make-up is such a huge market. MAC is such a big name that is was only a matter of time before they put their stamp on some minerals. I know I'm off subject but I know the popularity of the mainstream mineral makeup is that most are 100% minerals (BE). Does anyone know the percentages of MAC's mineral makeup? A large community of people believe that minerals are better for the skin. Hype on the most part, I'm guessing because they think that minerals=natural and natural=healthy. Not always the case, I'm allergic to BE, and I know the exact ingredient that did it! And BE claims to be 100% minerals. BTW, is there an ingredient listings for MAC minerals? thanks

yes, all of the above. they can be used as shadow, brow highlight, cheekbone highlight, as blush-depending on the color, on the body, and can be used wet or dry. they aren't meant for allover the face, otherwise it will most definately make you look oily or like a discoball.

to be considered mineral makeup, its gotta contain at least five minerals, and alot of companies just meet that minimum. all of mac's mineral makeup contain 77.

what's the mineral that does you in?

I think MSFs still confuse me, but I guess I'll figure it out, lol...

Would Petticoat be to light for me? I'm NW35. I listed everything I want from now to Christmas, and its scaring me... I'd love to cut down my list a little bit, I intended to use this as a blush, but it may be too light for that for me

I don't think I can afford to get more than one of these and I think I will probably get one of the LE ones for now, since I get get the others later. Can't decide between Petticoat and So Ceylon...I haven't seen either in person. I have blonde hair, blue eyes, and am a NW/NC 20 (can never seem to figure out which since I get told different things) and am a medium in Blot powder and MSFN. I would use it mostly as a highlight over blush - which one would work for me best?

Also, did I read right that there will be a mini 187 (the 188)?! How much smaller is it? I don't have 187 and want it so bad. Would the 188 suffice? I only want it because it is cheaper and, like I said, I can't afford too much makeup right now. I would mostly be using it for blush and MSF application I think since I don't wear liquid foundation.

umm, 188 & 187 are both permanent brushes. this is a horrible picture (completely out of focus) but it should give you a pretty good idea about the sizes

My tip for people who are worried about MSF's being too light on them: use them wet.

Spray some Fix or water/glycerine solution on the brush, sweep the dome, and apply; buff out any harsh lines and you should be good to go.

Oh, I would always apply the MSF on the brush FIRST and then spray Fix+ on it, this is better to save the MSFs from becoming wet in the pot

you can get them wet, it won't hurt em. you can use all MSFs wet (except MSFN) and you can wet them directly.

either dip brush in powder and then wet your brush, or wet your brush and then dip it in the powder. these started out wet in the first place when being made, so its not gonna hurt em to wet.

I love the description of them! "A mixture of mineral slurry that when dried is mineral rich and full of pearlized pigments" or something! Lol!

Gold Deposit is part of the perm Mineralize Line that will be released as well!

Don't mix it up with Sheer Minerals. These are two different collections and displays as well, a bit confusing.

Petticoat and So Ceylon are LE, Gold Deposit and Soft & Gentle become perm.

I was just surprised cause they have Soft & Gentle up with the collection & it has the ToD, so I figured they should also have Gold Deposit listed

No, Gold Deposit isn't part of this collection.

Soft & Gentle belongs to both. For some reason
