There have been rumors that the 181se will be out again when Sheer Minerals comes out in October.

The 181se is smaller so it gives a more precise application for blushes in my opinion. Sometimes the regular 181 is too big for blush so I mainly use it for powder.

its similar to mineral veil, but with a slight color. it helps create flawless looking skin with soft highlights.

you're getting the brush numbers mixed up a bit. the 181SE that was released with novel twist is actually the 182SE, which is the same as the permanent 182, just smaller. it was missnumbered. the one out now is the 181, (which is LE and will re-launch with this collection in oct but will still be LE), which is completely different than the 182/182SE.

the 182/182SE is gonna give apply powders over a larger area because the head is larger. the 181 is smaller, which makes it ideal for powders on the cheek/cheekbone.

This is confusing to my opinion. Do we really need all these kabuki brushes?
I have so many already from MAC and other brands!
I like the 181SE from the Nordstoms set from last year.
No need to get this 181SE even if it is a bit smaller.
Otherwise, the other brushes from MAC that I have will do.

Augh, just read the last 3 pages and my head's spinning from the yes/no on Gold Deposit. I almost wish it wasn't so I can save my cash, lol. Now that it is (tho we don't know when), that and So Ceylon will be joining my collection. I'm glad I didn't shell out for them earlier! I was close tho, for So Ceylon. =O

you're getting them confused too. its similar to the 187/188 brush. i'll explain it again.

there are different buffer brushes. the 182 is the larger that came out first. it is meant more for the entire face since its larger.

the one that came out with novel twist last year was mislabeled as 181SE. it was actually a 182SE, a shorter version of the 182. they have these SE brushes in all the holiday sets.

the one out now with solar chic is the 181. its a smaller version of the 182 and is LE and is relaunching, still as LE, with the sheer minerals collection. this is not the same brush as the novel twist one.

again, this is like the 187/188. you have the 187, you get the 187SE, a shorter version of the 187 in the brush sets, and then you have the 188, the smaller version.

i think with them mislabeling the novel twist as a 181SE confused people.

They last a very long time, depending on how you use them. I primarily use them as a highlighter, and a light touch is all you need. But if you use them as a blusher, I imagine that you would get several months out of them. The only one of mine that shows real use is Lightscapade, but that's because I use it on a nearly daily basis as a complexion brightener and to make me seem more "awake."

And to anyone who knows, will the SheerSheen powder eventually be perm(like the mineralize blushers)? Or will be be just a regular LE item? I really want them, but if there is no rush on them, all the better! lol

I have Light Flush and Warmed from the N Collection and Light Flush is only just starting to lose the dome shape. I don't use them everyday but several times a month....I think these will last a long time...I overapply everything lol. I think if they come out with more colors/if u own a lot of MSFs then itll make ur MSF's last longer since you'll have more to choose from.

I use my Goldspill just about everyday on my cheeks since is came in last year with Flashtronic and it has flattened out a bit.
