Was thinking about you this morning!

Actually, yeah I'm in my PJs still. A family member had unexpected emergency surgery, so last night was a late night for me. But all is well now and I'm substituting chai tea for champagne. Not quite as satisfying, but still very tasty.
And I'm still psyched about the MES. Thursday evening, they'll be coming home with me.

My obsession with everything has NOTHING to do with need. I don't need a thing, but I want all the lamb bags, shoes and makeup the world can throw at me.

I read her reviews as well as the reviews from makeupandbeautyblog (love), but no one is going to change my mind if I am already determined to check something out. I take in the review for what it is, keep it in mind and then come to my own conclusion after I have tried the products myself. One voice cannot speak for millions. You might love what I hate or hate what I love, so I would never skip something just because of someone's opinion. But yeah, she didn't seem that crazy about the idea of the collection anyway. She never loved night violet? How the hell is that possible? Holy crap. I realize I disagree with her a bit. For example, love that look collection she said skip fashion groupie. I bought it anyway and it is one of my top 5 shadows. I covet that damn shade. You can't use a bloggers opinion as your bible. Try it for yourself. Just want to say I am not slamming that site b/c she does what she does well and is entitled to her opinion, but I'll be damned if I let her or anyone else spoil my excitement or curiousity about ANY product.

Ok, I'm off the soapbox now.

No, I hear you. I still like to see collections in person for that reason. One person's object of worship is another person's skippable item. I love Nanogold and am not a big fan of nude lips, makeup blasphemy right? Face it, if buying makeup was a rational act, then makeup stores would look like hardware stores.

Yes! I don't plan on extending my eyeshadow application into my hairline, but kudos to those with the courage to do so.

Also as a side note of cheap thrills enablement: Wet n Wild has their Fantasy Makers collection out right now. For Halloween I picked up the Black and Blue Magic lipsticks and played with them. These are actually quite decent for really bottom of the barrel cheapo lipsticks, both creamy and pigmented. The Blue Magic is deep blue-based purple lipstick, a fun color that could be modifed with other products, since lavender and purple seem to be hot colors right now for lip products. For someone who wanted to experiment with black or purple lipsticks or looking for something for Halloween only, this is painless ($1.99) way of doing so and kind of fun.

So did mine. I LOVE how it softens/lightens up the lid/eye area a lot!

What she said! I've never used the MES wet because I've always heard that moisture is bad for your shadows. If I use pigments wet, I scoop out a tiny bit and wet it separately.

Any MES gurus have advice about this?

MES are designed to be used wet as well as dry. You can either lightly spray your brush with Fix+ or add a drop of visine on your hand and then take your MES laden brush and mix. I've used all my MES wet at some point and never had a problem with getting hardened or crusty.

I do have wisdom in me from time to time.

I am staying away from the MES, which is hilarious because I got Play on Plums and Heat/Element today, but I won't pull the trigger on this

Night Violet is beautiful. Perfect blend of purple and berry. These don't seem as dry as a matte, they are creamier.

I love this already.

It could be called... "Double Dip Flesh" or "Perky Pink"
