I will definitely pick up the cream color base and a couple of mineralize eyeshadows, but do I think i'll have any practical use for a black lipstick (excluding Halloween)? Not really. I like the eye pencils though.

isnt there a purple one coming out in dsquared?

Hmm...i just checked both color stories & they both are releasing Intense black greasepaint stick, the description is:

Grease Paintstick: $17.50USD/$21.00CAD

  • Intense Black - Black base with purple shimmer. These are water-/smudge-resistant.
But, with D-Squared they are also releasing, B - Bright blue violet.

I agree intense black sounds like it would be intense black!!! hahaha

do the grease paints have to be set with a powder (translucent powder, eyeshadow, etc.)? Cuz I have some grease paints from other brands and they rub off like CRAZY, smear, and NEVER EVER DRY. How do we use the MAC ones? ( I went back about 6 pages but all that fighting, I got turned off on reading more posts, sorry) :-/
PS I hope all got resolved!

Yeah I know! Usually I'm not a fan of glimmery glitter, or even frosty stuff. I like mattes, satins and subtle frosts, but these eyeshadows look great for some odd reason.

Maybe it's because MAC has been all over the pinky and neutrals and bronzey stuff too much, that it's like, "OMG DRAMATIC colors!!!"

I do believe that BUNNYX3 said that the greasepaint is like a shadestick and would wear like one.

September 24th cannot come soon enough IMO! After seeing this collection I am just so blah about all of the others that are coming out before Style Black. I am counting down the days!!

I agree, I haven't touched anything from Graphic Gardens, Colour Craft...come to think of it, I haven't touched a thing since Style Warriors which was practically 4 collections back! But I am seriously all over Style Black, the nail lacquer collection, and the f/w trend colour collection like nobody's business.

I've been so excited for this collection for so long, it feels like we've been waiting for 28 months! I didn't even bother making a list like I usually do. I'll just head in, point at the display and say "that!". There is no question on what I'll be picking up, just how many of each.

This collection is such a dream for me, thank you MAC!

...and thank you Specktra for making me feel like less of a spazz for obsessing over this!

I talked to the girl who took the original pictures of the recent swatches. She said that the greasepaint stick stayed put and she even had to wash her hands three times to get rid of the swatch!

I know some of the CCBs are not).

I picked up Black Bat last week (perm in pro stores already) and i used it on my eyes. the ma didn't tell me otherwise. she told me they're better for holding onto pigments and sometimes better for blending if you're trying to do a smokey eye, etc. i've used it twice and haven't had any problems! Black, the other ccb coming out with Style Black, is also already available in pro stores.

*i tried my ccb with grape pigment today...the pigment held on for dear life! still experienced fallout, but not as much as when using p/p as a base.
