MAC - Sugar Sweet Discussion

Hi Tish,
I am new here. Since you have many many MSFs, can you compare the Sugarsweet MSFs to the grand duos and BBR MSFs? which one has more glitters, more pigmentation, etc.? which one is your favorite? I have moonriver and hot planet. Thank you.

I know this wasn't for me but I'm NC25 too and the biggest difference between Grand Duos and the Sugarsweet is that Grand Duos have a lot more glitter than the Sugarsweet. Sugarsweet is a lot smoother when applying too. I don't know about the BBR because I lost my Blonde

...with Bubbles! I am seriously considering a b/u (yes, I am willing to actually PAY for a l/s since I've run out of b2ms, lol)- it is just a beautiful perfect color, i don't even know how to describe it.

And I am way impressed with Perfect Topping, it just gives me a polished, flawless look.

I went to my MAC counter today and walked out with Perfect Topping and a backup of Lollipop Loving. I had the MA try out both Perfect Topping and Refined on my face. Refined is a peach version of Shimpagne on me. Instead of a beige oil slick, it looks like a gold-peach tinged oil slick and makes my pores look huge. So sad.

Perfect Topping was so much better, even though it looks much darker in the pan, it is like a pale pink tinted Lightscapade. I have Lightscapade and like Perfect Topping so much better. It is the highlighter I have been waiting for MAC to release for like forever. I also cherry-picked one with a nice large vein of lavender, which makes for a gorgeous brow highlighter. On my skin, it is soft focus-angelic-glow-powder-incarnate. For the first time ever, I'm thinking of buying a backup of an msf. I love, love, love my Perfect Topping. Pearly-pink-pajamas, this msf is hot!

I got 3 Bubbles in total. Call me crazy but I love it. I hated it at first...but o-m-gosh. It's awesome!! It took me 2 tries to love it. It's such a great nude

For me it was. Lightscapade tends to wash me out, because of all of the yellow in it. The cool pink highlighting of Perfect Topping is just uber flattering on me. I deliberately picked one with lots of lavender though, so the highlighting effect would be on the cool side. I don't know why the Refined msf looked so awful on me. I mean the finishes of both msfs looked the same in the pot, but on, there was a world of difference when applied. Perfect Topping has a soft pearl finish and just made my skin look perfect. I heart this almost as much as cadbury chocolate eggs.

Hey Y'all, I"d been planning my trip to MAC for Sunday but all this talk about the s/s's got me so excited, I broke down and went today. And I'm so glad I did: I got the very last Red Velvet! They didn't even have the tester out and this one was on hold for a freelancer but the MA said she'd give her her promo so I could have it.

plus another 15 pan palette and a 4 pan for traveling.

I totally splurged but I'm just liking this collection so much more than anything else recently. (the only thing I bought from HK was Tippy_

I caved and got this too today! And naturally I thought of you! I'm not in Austin right now, but I bought Peppermint Patti and St. Germain in Little Rock. I got to see the collection and I thought everything was beautiful. They only had like 3 Peppermint Patties left, so I got lucky. The color is really beautiful.

Along with handing in a resume to mac, I bought aquavert and cakeshop.. Grr I didn't want anything but the texture of the both of them was SO DREAMMMYY lol. Oh and the new viva glam lipstick??? Ummm I have really pigmented lips and it looked like death.. Like.. it looked blueish pink.. Gross

Really bad like, I mostly saw the blue LOL.

I saw this collection today and I am so happy nothing tempted me. Perfect Topping was just an ordinary light peach. No pink or lavander showed up. The texture of it isn't bad but not my favourite. It is nothing like lightscapade or moon river in my opinion. I love those two much better. I have melrose mood so I don't need Saint germain.They are close enough for me. Sweet thing was nice but nothing unique. I really don't think Ill be wearing Bubbles alone and I can't justify paying $20 for a lip highlighter right now. All shadesticks were boring except maube cakeshop and I hated red velvet. Anywhoo I agree with erine on this collection. Bring on rose romance!
