Sweet Thing is one of those sheer-but-face-brightening shades that take about 10 years off instantly.
If you liked shades like Rebelrose, Fun 'N" Sexy, and Vivacious, go for Sweet Thing!
In fact, if you added purple to Rebelrose, you'd just about have Sweet Thing.

Hmm, thanks. Well I didn't like Big Bow(since you said Fun N Sexy) at all, looked strange on my coloring. Is that similar at all to Sweet Thing?

I'm NC35 and I LOVE Refined MSF, it's really gorgeous on, I just got Bubbles last night and I really think this is a must for everyone as it is so versatile.

I finally tried the Red Velvet s/s and its definately pink. Not sure why the have "red" in the title, but whatever. I tried 2 pigments over it and I love they the vibrant color lasted all day.

(Pink Pearl looked more purple and Ruby Red looked more red over Red Velvet.)

I am soooo in love with shadesticks!!!

Im NW15 and I love them both. If I could only have one it would be perfect topping. But they are both so diffrent and great highlighters. Adds such a pretty sheen over any blush....

BTW Yall-Refined over plum foolery is soo pretty! I think I did this on accident thinking I was using a diffrent blush in my palette. But it was the perfect mistake!

Hey guys. So I took everyone's advice and I got perfect topping AND refined!!!!!!!! I wasn't going to get any when this collection came out, then I joined spektra and was convinced to get perfect topping. (you guys are bad influences!!!) I called my MAC at Macys and had them hold it for me.
Then most of you were recommending to get Refined. Some spoke really great things about it. My MAC sold out on it, but had gotten some yesterday and I went to check it out. The MA that was helping me didn't mind me looking through the drawer so that I could pick the veining that I wanted, but another MA there threw a hissyfit. She was like "Why's she going through the drawer, they're the same after swatched they're all gonna mix anyway". Now, true maybe when swatched the difference is probably very little, but c'mon us MAC addicts KNOW there's a difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I was convinced I would only get Perfect Topping, but after you guys did all your convincing, I got Refined, too, and let me tell you, I LOVE it. I'm NW20 and I was afraid it would be too dark or too orange on me. I can use this as a blush if I apply a little extra, or it could work out great as a highlighter for me, too. I wore it as a blush today (GORGEOUS!!!!!) Perfect topping is just too delicious to look at- if that makes sense. I almost want a backup just b/c it looks pretty lol. I can use this as a blush, too, but this one seems more shimmery on me than Refined. I have to add PT a few times for it to show as a blush, so maybe that's why I get the huge shimmer effect. I think this best suits me as a highlighter. I wore it yesterday as a highlighter above my Tippy blush (LOVE IT!!!!!). The color is also gorgeous as an eyeshadow when you want that natural, no time for makeup look. I use the lavender parts and It adds a slight pink shade to your eyes. I haven't tried this with Refined yet.
Overall, I'm extremely happy with both MSFs. I wouldn't have bought EITHER of them if it weren't for you guys so a huge THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!! (although my wallet doesn't thank you)

Every MSF I've purchased, I've been so happy with. I've become an MSF Freak lol. I think I'm gonna buy every MSF in fear that one day I might regret not buying one and end up paying double. I just NEED to have every MSF now!!!!!!

My daughter decided that my Red Velvet shadestick made a nice princess wand, thanks to the pink case. She prefers it over the Pink Couture shadestick, which is only pink at the top. I don't know where it is now...

On me, it's a slight noticeable difference. Blonde is more pink toned, and Perfect Topping seems more like a light peachy color

Big Bow is nothing like Sweet Thing, and Fun n sexy is nothing like Sweet Thing. Big Bow is also nothing like Fun n sexy except maybe the texture.
I personally didn't like Big Bow either, it made me feel like I was in the 80's but I love Sweet Thing. It's completely different!
